Telling them to tell nobody about winning, it is a good advice but it doesn't exempt them from the number-number criminal system; where people in high places, some of which who may be working for financial institutions, corporations/businesses, lotto or affiliates, insurance etc give or sell their information to criminals to have them robbed.

At any point before retirement age, are we allowed to withdraw from the vested pot? Example, hypothetically if I have 1mil in vested pot - can one withdraw 200k? Or is the vested pot fixed and only available at retirement

Some of the best superinvestors on earth will be jumping for joy to get 15% growth over 20 years, and you're saying after fees? So gross return must be at the very least least 18%+ over the long term. This is Warren Buffet territory. The handful of funds on earth that has achieved this won't accept new clients and those that do have entry limits of millions of dollars. This is totally unrealistic.

I had experience with debt review , I wouldn't recommend it. 1. not all accounts were being paid. 2. accounts tht I've settled were still being paid. I paid another company to remove me from debt review. what works for me now... call and ask for lower installment , take the lowest amount and settle it, if you get a discount even better, thn move on to the nxt account. no need for debt restructuring or the likes, just discipline.

Hi there Yolanda, trust you are well! So I found this video doing research for a family member, and I would like to know, if there's a R30K capped amount into the savings component of this new system, and hypothetically, the member wants to withdraw that limited amount (the 30K), is the savings pot depleted completely for the financial year 2024/2025, or does it automatically get "filled up" again with another 30k from the vested pot?? (hypothetical scenario all taking place from the 1st September)
@FinanciallyFabulousFemales9 күн бұрын
The the 30k is once of seeding, once you withdraw from the savings pot, monthly contributions into your pension will slowly fill the savings pot again and the savings pot will grow or shrink according to the fund growth
@derekwoolley972912 күн бұрын
The government could not get their hands on the 90 billion rand retirement funds legally. Now they have created a dream that is going to be a nightmare at retirement. By creating this 2 pot system they now can access the fund via tax they bring the only main beneficiary. Government is basically bankrupt thus being creative in tax revenue including not in adjusting the annual income tax brackets . They are not looking after the individuals interest.
@FinanciallyFabulousFemales9 күн бұрын
In the long term, more pension money will be preserved compared to the current rate. Right now people resign and don’t preserve their funds for retirement, most withdraw all
@daviddavid496213 күн бұрын
On which planet are you getting 15%? And by your own explanation about growth minus inflation of say 6%, then you are implying that the growth is 21% to get 15% return (this is from your own calculation).

This is a terrible suggestion. In your example you will take a 31% knock. To get the R17,225 (R25,000 - tax of R7775) back to the R25,000 you started with you need to grow it by 45%. How many years is it going to take to do that? Terrible advice. If you have a long time before retirement, rather increase your exposure to as much foreign assets (equity and bonds) as allowed (45%). Remember there is no tax while invested in a retirement investment. Much better to do that and leave your current investments to continue to grow.
@FinanciallyFabulousFemales9 күн бұрын
Recovering from the tax hit will take time but your will grow your funds faster outside of reg28. You also put your self in a better liquidity position should you choose to invest outside reg28. Pension products do offer tax free growth but it is not a tax free product, its a tax deferred product. Also the content of this video is not financial advice
@barrymatthew28578 күн бұрын
I appreciate the conversation but do think you are being disingenuous in saying this is not financial advice given the title you gave your video. Interesting to me is this is positioned to clients in retirement funds... and they're there as it was the right investment for them to do at the time. At a minimum, I don't think you appropriately cover the basics - like how long it will take a client doing this on average to just break even after the 31% loss your guidance will trigger... I suppose, if anything, this highlights the importance of personalized financial advice tailored to each investor’s unique situation.
