I wish they release the beta versions of all games for us to play

This is gonna be some sort of stalker 2 type situation where it isn't released for multiple years after its announcement.

Yeah, as someone with experience in the industry, it is impossible for anyone to talk to anyone except those at the top. Went to GDC last year and met a guy who told me he could tell me he was working on a game, but nothing else.

I don't know how to feel about this

Let's not kid ourselves and face reality. The reason for their nonresponse is simple. They don't care about anyone but checking boxes for their DEI overloads! They don't care how good the game's going to be they only care about how to spin their narrative. The next game and even the movie are going to dumpster fires. They're looking for people who are in line with whatever garbage they want to spread.

An article posted Dec 17 2024, (one of the top searches on google), says Bioshock 4 is still coming but the date is TBD. I hope the wait just means they’re really taking their time with it and want it to be absolutely perfect in every way, and new consoles keep coming out so they are adjusting to the newer technologies

Let’s think like the studio heads would.. Why would they not make another Bioshock? The games were amazing, didn’t they win several awards I thought? Did the game not make enough money or do they think it won’t make money today? Or do they think the game style is outdated or something..?(Not really any multiplayer/not multiplayer based?). I just don’t understand why they would not care to make another game, usually blockbuster games/movies want to keep going? Could it cost too much money did they lose interest? Eventually it’s gonna have to come **I actually just saw an article posted less than a month ago saying Bioshock 4 is still coming, date is just TBD.. Maybe they’re just taking their sweet time? Hopefully that means they want it to perfection

On a similar note, I’m actually wondering about the release date for Judas. I think it was said the game should come out no later than March 2025. That’s only a couple months away and we’ve yet to be given an actual release date.

New to the channel, long time *Shock fan, i had no idea there was to be a new game, I am thrilled, on state of gaming these days, I do feel I need to share that if every game is made to be AAA, then that makes AAA common, and not at all stand out, I will not need a new Bioshock to be AAA, A will suffice if there are to be DLC Chapters, given the legacy of Bioshock and even System Shock since later is why we have the former in the first place. and we do not need a reboot, just a good game that is fun and has a story that is told well. as for a movie, I hope the developers of the movie are able to achieve the Fallout effect, that Amazon Prime Video managed to score with the Fallout series, they did well while not merely mimicking any of the games.

My Top 3 concerns are: 1. They make it a live service game 2. They decide to make it another Bioshock Clone instead of an actual BioShock game 3. They outright decide to cancel it My Hopes on the other hand include: Single Player Campaign with a good story, Good Weapons and Special Powers, and Garry Schyman returning to compose the music

Im still trying to figure out how they can salvage the storyline from infinite because I love infinite and the characters but the ending and on top of that the dlc's makes no sense because if Bioshock 1 happens because of the burial at sea dlc that means Elizabeth has to exist after bioshock infinite ending for it to happen but that cant happen because infinite's ending ended any other possibility because it killed Booker before making a choice of baptism which caused Comstock or not baptizing which causes Booker which means Elizabeth doesnt exist cause hes gone which is why the Elizabeth's were disappearing which means infinite doesnt happens because of it and bioshock 1 cant happen because burial at sea dlc. Though the only open end to infinite is the after credits where Booker walks in and sees Ana in her crib but that Booker tone means the He's somehow the Booker we played as but how and if thats the case what still happened that causes the dlc to occur in a different reality.

I'm always hopeful for a new BS game, but the way game studios are these days, I don't hold my breath. No matter what release date they give, they're always delayed. And no matter how much communication there is, the game can still be cancelled at any time. Judas supposedly comes out in a few months so at least there's that.

I fear that they have no good story or direction for the next game. I think they should just go back to Rapture and bring back as many of the characters from the first 2 games as possible.

Coming up on 12 years since the last game. Blows my mind considering how amazing these 3 games are.

A TV adaptation like the Fallout series would be better than a movie.

Bethesda is extremely woke so i have no hope for the game, even if it was to come out. I dont buy any bethesda games for that reason. They have almost 10 different versions of skyrim, thats ridiculous. I wonder how many other versions of skyrim they will have this year. 😂

Honestly. If bioshock is over... I would be sad, but also a little glad that it went out like this, leaving us with 2 amazing games and one not so amazing but still very good one. Better than continuing when there is not a good reason to keep making games. I would rather it be silently ended with dignity rather than losing its meaning into a zombie franchise like assassin's creed

The fact that they’re still hiring isn’t a good sign, and the fact that we know literally nothing about the game itself doesn’t help, but who knows, maybe they’re just pulling a Bethesda on us and in 5 to 7 years we’ll either be given a trailer or be told it was canceled behind closed doors

The answer is “JUDAS” game The director/ developer of the original Bioshock games is making this and it’s just a replica but in space/ futuristic No need for anther game under water

I thought the same thing after the game awards. The games industry has been plagued by layoffs and take-two has been affected by those pains. They did announce in 2024 they cancled several games but did not announce all. Maybe Bioshock?

Sometimes I wonder, should we even care anymore. Judas is taking forever to be made. The Movie/TV show adaptation by Netflix is most likely going to be bad. And now the dev team for Bioshock 4 is now completely radio silent about the development for Bioshock 4. Here's hoping that everything will turn out guys.

Ghost Story Games' silence is what I'm even more worried about. The game is supposed to be released in Q1 2025... The silence is deafening.

All honesty, I think that 2k made up the cloudchamber and bioshock 4 for the publicity, because they knew that if they got people to keep talking about it, they would stay relevant and maintain purchases of copies, and have people still talking about the promise of another installment, or even if cloudchamber does actually makes things and isn't just a comic relief, I don't think that they will make a bioshock 4, because nowadays most games go for either 1st person shooter or survival horror, because that's what the people buy, and we all know corporations main goals for the last few years was to just get as much cash as they could.

It really is very concerning that we haven’t gotten any new information about the new Bioshock 4, it would make me think that it’s in development hell or has been secretly cancelled and hasn’t revealed it. But I hope it isn’t the case and that we hear something.
