Red Top Mountain is one of our favorite "go to" parks to go camping and hiking for a couple of days when we just want to get away from the house. We live in Cumming, GA and Red Top is only about 45 minutes away. We really enjoy all the trails they have and some of the ranger led hikes are very entertaining. As you said, some of the sites are tricky to back into but, being an ex-trucker, I'm pretty good at backing my 29 foot trailer into any site. I think Akela would have liked running 4 miles but something tells me he would have had to drag you back to the camper. 😁 Anyway, as usual, thanks for the video and always look forward to your next one.

Hey, We are in training for a 5k race on Memorial Day up near Syracuse!! So who know whether I will survive that or not! Red Top was definitely a awesome park. So much there and so many activities and stuff. As Usual, we should've stay longer !! We'll get this right eventually! Thanks Tom!

I always check to see if you have a videos of the state park I want to go . You always show the bathrooms so thank you for that .
@GoingNoWhereFast6 ай бұрын
I even do the bathrooms at rest stops...lol! Thanks for the comment Keith!

Yes, I noted that too. Then I wondered if people in RVs use their own facilities- or prefer to use the parks - especially if clean. Hmmm.

Thanks for the video and the courage to put something out even if you loss video. 😂 I have 2 brothers who live Cades Cove. They took us there several years ago. I remember a lot of turkeys. Happy Easter!

Turkeys I can get just from watching the News! lol. 😁 Thanks For the comment. More to come !

Beautiful area, just getting into the North Georgia Mountains. I had the opportunity to visit Lake Lanier a few years back, but not Allatoona Lake. Zipped by on I75 a few times! Thanks for sharing............

Thanks Bryan. Georgia has some great areas. The coast is pretty buggy, but the mountains are awesome!

Not bad. Enough good info on what sites are useable. Always a plus. Us "Geezers" are at Reed Bingham SP, Adel, GA. Laundry just 75 cents. Doing it in-between watching you. LOL.

Are you suggesting my Video is more exciting than watching clothes wash!! I take that! lol Thanks for the nice comment !

One thing nice about using your own facilities is you don't have to smell OPS. (other peoples s hit) You can smell your own. Butt, I guess the camping experience is using their facilities.
@GoingNoWhereFast6 ай бұрын
Well, ready or not, I think we’re gonna have to use our own facilities. We got some serious primitive camping coming up during a very popular time.

Always a great video, Rick. I did not see Akela the stick Master but I'm sure he was there.
@GoingNoWhereFast6 ай бұрын
Thanks Patrick. He was around, I just didn't spend much time out and around due to cold and wind! But his scenes were the ones lost!! He is not happy about it!

Nice video. Thats a pretty park. You did a good service to it even with missing footage. I finally made it to FDR early last fall. Nice park, and great staff. Cades Cove, so much history there. Donnie Laws, a YTer lives in that area. Thanks for taking us along. 🙂👍

Georgia State Parks have undergone, many of them, updates and renewals of bathrooms and camping pads over many parks. They are really nice now. Stayed at Cloudland Canyon with major upgrades, yes, pristine. 😊
@GoingNoWhereFast6 ай бұрын
Yes, When I was at Cloudland they were building a new camping loop near the trail heads. Keep it up Georgia!! And Thanks William!

I would have loved to seen Akela reaction if all those dogs was in parkinglot at same time.Nice unique campground. Thanks Again for showing

He is pretty good with other dogs unless they challenge him, then he gets a bit controlling. He is great at the dog park. It is tough to get him to stay with me on a trail run though!! Good to "see" you Gary!

I haven't camped in Georgia yet, I have a 2025 trip to Florida and I'm thinking of staying in Georgia but I am concerned about traffic running through Atlanta. I'll put this on the list.
@GoingNoWhereFast6 ай бұрын
Atlanta is not bad traffic wise. But the number of roads that go through and into Atlanta can get you pretty confused. Just go slow and take your time. The Atlanta is pretty far west for hitting Florida, unless you’re going to the panhandle.

Ya did good, Rick!! You got all the important stuff in there (Restrooms, Showers, Laundry, the Map and the Beach..) What else is there, eh??

Thanks Pete! The things that's missing is the drama!? No terrorist attacks, Child abductions, Sex rings. I've got to work harder to uncover these things!! Or NOT !!

Always a good video from you. All in all it looked like a place I would enjoy camping at. Thanks for the info on the best sites! If you have a computer long enough…….. can’t live without them now.
@GoingNoWhereFast6 ай бұрын
Yep, two computers, two phones, a tablet, and I’m not so sure Akela isn’t electronic. I think we finally got them all straightened out. Thanks for the kind comment.

Love your critical artistic descriptions…it's got that "penitentiary vibe" and then you do an unexpected suicide intervention (thanks for getting a close up of that license plate just in case). Your prize is watching my recent cheerful upload that encourages viewers "Don't Fear the Prostate Exam." 😂

I would never fear the prostate exam, I've acquired several doctors graduation rings form those!!

It is a great park. I was so mad I could not do a better video. I think my Brain was frozen from going from 70deg La. to 30deg and 30mph winds in Ga.
