I get on master duel, buy the session pass, get into deck editor see I don't have any of the cards I want/need to play my irl decks, go play like 3 games on rank with the only completed deck, get bored because that's not the deck I want to play. Log off repeat every new season. Bruh... Give us the tcg banned list, so this can be the next edo pro. Make this available on Mac mini

To add a point, Master Duel is also better run. The TCG hasn’t been fun for a lot of people in a while now. The frustration is growing and the player base is shrinking. Existing players are fed up with Konami and it’s too complicated to bring in new players. Yugioh has: The Worst Prize Support by any major tcg, worst ban list updates/errata system, worst (and getting worse) short printing/pull rates, the biggest learning curve, highest average deck cost (besides commander) and lastly/most importantly they are less in tune with their player base than any other company running a popular TCG. The Yugioh TCG will fail. The ocg is run well and will live a long time, they print amazing cards in low rarity plus they listen to the community more, still not enough, but more. In the tcg though they use the ocg to see what’s strong and then later print it in the higher rarity for us to make more money off of us. I love this game and I will always support the content creators. But I am never buying a sealed yugioh product or anything that supports Konami directly again unless something big changes.

Yes, I do like how Master Duel has great benefits, like; 1. The time rules & possibillities, that get exploited IRL. 2. Spectator possibillities. 3. The cost to compete. No longer do you need a lot of money for cardboard, travelling, hotel costs etc. 4. Reading possibillities of the cards. 5. And so much more. If only Master Duel wouldn't purposly take years before implementing cards into the game.

I can agree it has potential, but in it's current state, i don't think it can. If they change some things on the banlist and adjust some things on the search cards/bookmark system, then yes.

Yes! I'm a super casual player, but I love the replay function in Master Duel. It makes everything so easy to follow, and I can pause to read and understand what's happening.

Visually Master Duel helps a lot and looks flashy, and on that side it is one of the best versions of the game at least to me, but I still hold on to the childhood dream of a world were duel disks actually worked the same way as the anime, holograms and all. Just not the "digital monsters exploding sends you flying into a wall" part.

I think the price thing is important because konomi makes a lot of money selling physical cards and removing that money factor could push it on to players with MD

Honestly this is the worst E-Sport management that I ever seen. 1. They should delay the release of the replays in Master Duel game, and keep the videos/duels only in their channel. This will be good for their engagement and protecting players' deck. 2. The round is pretty weird and unfair. Each round has at least 9 set/duel, and the players must have a (min.) 9 random coin tosses in this highest competitive event. Konami can decrease the "luck factor" in this event, if they create a better format. The member plays one by one, so they can make a strategy for that. I know this will give more works for Konami and maybe the longer event (more expensive to pay the venue). I know this will be very difficult for lazy small indie company. . But I don't think Konami will do something better in the future. And the players mostly don't have any idea about "good competitive game" because (maybe) they only play YGO, and never see a real good competitive game. That's why I almost never see someone complaining about this unfair weird competitive event.

Yeah I can see master duel be used to allow for bigger tournaments to be held without the need for as many judges. They would also be incentived to add more summoning animations so people can cheer when the boss monster comes out and wins the game. That or special attack animations or negate or skill uses that would make the base game better too

I think Yugioh is a sinking ship. Their lust for money and their lack of artistic integrity has made a game that no longer relies on skill, but is purely up to drawing the right cards, cards that every deck has access to, so you're not even playing uniquely. You're playing the same way everyone else plays, just to go into the same boss monsters your opponent goes into - because that is the only way to win. Konami does this on purpose to boost sales, even though it is destroying their game. Power creep cannot continue forever in a game that relies on luck.

The most controversial mechanic in my opinion, is that some cards can miss timing. And we can't even get rid of it because some cards are balanced around that.

I think when a card is a staple for a specific archetype, it should be errata'd. look what happened to six samurais and prank kids.... so if banning a card shuts down an entire archetype, then yes, i think it should be re written.

I use Question unironically at locals. I usually wait till halfway into the duel if it is long form and use it. Short Term memory will ALWAYS screw people over.

Missing the timing is by far the worst game mechanic in yugioh. It's so unintuitive and annoying when it comes up. It feels like a mistake by the game designers that they just don't want to admit to.

That shake hands card is gross. I would not shake hands with someone in fear of them making their hand disgusting.

I don't get erratas as opposed to retrains. Look at a card like pot of greed and how it got a trillion retrains attempting to balance its effect. It opened multiple new avenues of card design as well as keeping the original card in tact for unlimited play and retro formats. Same goes for cards like fishborg blaster and every fishborg tuner under the sun, as well as dandylion and dandywhitelion. Inoffensive attempts at re-introducing the concept of the card back into the game without castrating the original powerful card people remember.

Question, Was 1 of my favourite plays After using effects that forced me to send card directly to the Graveyard, Future Fusion, Graceful Charity etc. To place the strongest monster out of whichever cards were sent to the Graveyard at the bottom, Though sending mulriple cards allows the monster to be hidden from the opponent, Unless the effect Says to show the cards to the opponent.
