Add "Gem-Knight Garnet". This explains "Why you only play one copy of this card if it's good and it's crucial to your combo?", "Well, it's MEANT to be searched by THIS, THAT, or THIS INTO THAT, and also THIS AS WELL." And maybe add how garnets have evolved through the years. Nowadays, garnets are not 1900 beatsticks, they're actual playable cards.

I would also argue for HERO and burning abyss. With ba you have to negate their racism to even have other monsters on the field

I think the taylors correct target refers to equip cards that equips to specific monster types/ archetypes to enforce restrictions of the equip cards.

Recently I have been dusting off the hundreds of OG cards my brother and I have from when we were kids to make decks and duel with friends. It’s been fun and relatively competitive as we have one finite card pool. Then turning to online modern Yugioh, I was surprised how much nonsense there was, and how much it ruined the back and forth of the duel.

Once started my turn with 0 cards in hand, all had been discarded from my opponent cards during their first turn x)

This is hypothetical, but, what if Konami just…removed EVERY card off the forbidden/ban list? Just have a free for all for a few months and try to nail down what cards are ACTUALLY the problem. Like, wipe the slate clean and start over

It's not that pot of greed is such a threat and that's why it's banned. It's that there's literally no reason not to run it, so it would be in all decks. Even if it were draw 1 card it would be in all decks.

Saw a fella post on twitter and he had nothing but trap cards in his hand, including 3 solemn judgements. Yugioh isn't what it used to be anymore. It really has become how fast can i pull my entire combo or/while denying opponent retaliation.

Well, if you limit special summons, the game will be fixed immediately. But that would make lots of modern decks unviable. Notice also that the deck profiles hardly contain any traps. There are only quick effects and invincibility combos these days.

1:30 Are you genuinely dyslexic? I'm serious. Your interpretation isn't even hinted at in the text you just read. You don't ask any questions. Your opponent simply tries to remember and name whatever monster is at the bottom of your graveyard. They get ONE guess. Then the consequences happened depending on if they were wrong or correct and that's it. There is no holding hostage. Noone asks questions. The only thing in question is defined by the card itself. I genuinely can't fathom how you got such a far fetched random idea from the text you read.

I like the idea of TCGs but it basically turns into this the longer it goes on.

Simple but effective way of messing with your opponent: My older brother once had a side deck he'd use for fun that was almost entirely flip effect monsters, plus a few high-defense monsters like Labyrith Wall that would be played face-down. And this was in casual play using older cards, so you'd have stuff like Man-Eater Bug in that deck too. It was like playing Russian Roulette.
