there was a westie as Toto who ran away from Dorothy, and was even yelled at by one of the talking trees for peeing on her roots. The dog then ran off when Dorothy and the Scarecrow came down the steps into the area. and then reappeared at the end fo the show with the trainer who handed the dog to Dorothy.

I highly doubt it’d come to USH as we barely have any space as it is - but it is valid to note that we lose the contract to Simpsons in 2025 leaving that huge space in upper lot available, though my money’s on either Pokemon or Monsters

Yeah, it’s hard to think of anywhere with enough space at USH! A small Wicked area could replace The Simpsons, but I agree that it’s not that likely!

@JustThemeParksYT12 күн бұрын

@kbraven700712 күн бұрын
I think if Wicked is coming to Universal, they will likely put it where Marvel is. Since not only do they already have a green roller coaster that they can just base it on Defying Gravity, but all they really would need to do is brainstorm a new attraction where Spiderman is, but all they really have to do is retheme the existing rides, move the Elphaba and Glinda meet and greet, come up with a live show and just retheme the buildings to either the Emerald City or Shiz University or something. Plus if there are rumors of them removing Marvel and Wicked having this theme park potential, then it's really possible.

I hadn’t thought of that, but that would definitely work! Hulk is already the perfect colour! 😂💚

A Wicked land would work so well in Epic Universe
@JustThemeParksYT13 күн бұрын
It would be perfect!
@silanganimation13 күн бұрын
If I make a Wicked-themed expansion in Epic Universe, I can already imagine a portal with a witch's hat on top and "everyone deserves the chance to fly!" engraved on it. Upon entering, guests will step on the Yellow Brick Road to Wicked--World of Oz. It will be divided into two sub-areas: Shiz University and Emerald City. In Shiz University, guests embark on a dark boat ride winding through the canals of the campus, as animatronic figures retell the story of how Elphaba and Glinda first met and became friends. There will also be an Ozdust Ballroom-themed restaurant where guests dine in an underwater setting accompanied by an animatronic Animal band. The other dining venue is the Shiz Dining Hall, which will be a quick service restaurant with uniquely Ozian school lunches. Emerald City will be the centrepiece of the land, it'll have a replica of the Unlimited One, the train used to escort Elphaba and Glinda to the city as a photo op complete with winding cogs and billowing smoke. Emerald City will also have both shopping and dining experiences such as the Hot Air Cafe, Emerald City Gifts and the Beautification Salon for younger guests who wanted to have a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique-esque makeover styled like Elphaba or Glinda. There will also be a Hot Air Balloon tower ride ala the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, as well as an interactive Wiz-O-Mania live show. However, the centerpiece attraction of the entire land is the Defying Gravity roller coaster. It will be a highly intense, launched suspended roller coaster that spans around the entire Emerald City, giving guests the feeling of flying on broomsticks just like Elphaba did while defying gravity. Think of F.L.Y from Phantasialand but in the Emerald City. The ride itself begins in the Wizard's palace where guests are given an audience with the Wizard before Elphaba revolts against him and directs guests to the loading station where they'll board and soar on their brooms. To me, epic universe makes a lot more sense for this expansion, since Wicked also has an art deco/nouveau vibe and is also an epic movie. If they want to cover Part 2, they better build some rides in Islands of Adventure but I can agree that Part 1 suits Epic Universe.

I love this attraction! For the most popular theme park in the world, I'm glad there's a small section in the park dedicated to the country it's based in. I think it's a good thing to love your country and this is a good dedication to the nation's history and influence, as well as it's hardship and mistakes. Secondly, those mad over politics need to remember that the people in the past hated a lot of the folks on this stage, to name a few, a lot of citizens and news outlets hated Andrew Jackson, Harry Truman, Rutherford Hayes, John Tyler, etc etc. It's about the nation they helped preserve rather than if they were all good people. It's also a nice love letter to Walt Disney's passion for his country. (Plus the MK its a small world doesn't represent North America including America, so why can't we be represented in our own theme park?)

Richard Nixon is gone now, and I am poorer for it. He was the real thing -- a political monster straight out of Grendel and a very dangerous enemy. He could shake your hand and stab you in the back at the same time. He lied to his friends and betrayed the trust of his family. Not even Gerald Ford, the unhappy ex-president who pardoned Nixon and kept him out of prison, was immune to the evil fallout. Ford, who believes strongly in Heaven and Hell, has told more than one of his celebrity golf partners that "I know I will go to hell, because I pardoned Richard Nixon."

I think that the hall of presidents will sooner or later be replaced. The USA is divided and a sizeable part of the american population has not recognized the 2020 election. But how will it look in 2028 or 2032? What if 20% of the visitors are boycotting Disney, because they believe the wrong president was put in here? I think it will be concerning when the hall of presidents will finally close. It is not a good sign for the american democracy if a cultural juggernaut such as Disney doesn't value it anymore.

One big thing I have noticed is BPB's shift towards becoming a "premium" destination, with investments into a new resort hotel, and remodelling of building with what I think is tacky gold plastic stuck to them. Whilst it is nice in moderation, it has taken away part of the parks colourful and vibrant atmosphere. Especially the arcade building next to the ramp leading from the fountains to the Big Dipper. A park situated in what is lovingly known as a tacky but charming sea-side resort should not be trying to broad its shoulders to appeal to a premium group of guests when Lancashire and a lot of the surrounding areas look to Pleasure Beach for a moderately priced day out for families. If people wanted "Premium", they could go to Alton Towers.

I went in June, stayed in Splash landing hotel which actually wasn’t bad however when I visited the park the following day most of the rides were delayed and didn’t open on time. Then rides just randomly broke down throughout the day, if you were unlucky you could be in a queue for an hour for the ride to break down only to join another queue wait an hour and that break down too 😢. I heard quite a few people complaining. Later in the year I visited, Chessington and Thorpe park that had better operations…Thorpe park has a large collection of flat rides so it helps. It’s a shame, I would say Alton towers is currently poor value for money in comparison, I hope they listen to feedback and it improves for 2025.

Well it is a uk wide problem. While in most of europe themeparks had a good season this year. Only the UK themeparks are stagnating and suffer an attendence loss. We are basicly seeing how Brexit and the resulting economic decline are affecting the themepark industry. The second problem is that Merlin dominates the UK market. Any huge investment will only draw guests away from their other properties. And attracting more guests from mainland europe? Why not investing directly in the mainland european parks. Why investing in Alton towers, if you could just invest in Heide park instead? I don't know if the rumored Universal park will change the situation, but the UK themepark industry needs any help it can get.

For over 20 something years, all you so call fans of theme parks have done nothing but slate and slag off Pleasure Beach. You have never wanted it to succeed. The park clearly has a different remit to your beloved Alton Towers and the likes. Significant money is being invested into the park over the next seasons - and this is apparent with the removal of Grand Prix, Bowladrome, the major refurb to Ice Blast, the works on River Caves and whatever else. This season has been pretty bad due to a number of reasons - such as ride down time, but also the weather has had a major part to play this year. Frankly to say can Pleasure Beach be saved is an absolute shit statement. Get a grip.

Hey, very nice video on a subject that I wish bigger channels would touch upon more! As you're a growing channel, I want to encourage you in making more content that reflect a little bit more or your passion and personality- the biggest improvement I can see for you is working on your narration delivery: at the moment your tone and inflections are so repetitive I thought you were an AI voice! Don't be scared to put more personality, vary your tones and rhythm. You don't have to be fully conversational, but you don't have to be as formal and stiff as you are on this too- the sound quality is good and your natural voice colour is actually pretty nice to begin with so I'm sure your videos will improve tenfold with this one tweak. Best of luck with the rest and I look forward to see this channel grow!

I remember as a teenager is the 1980's - you could walk around the park and choose a ride or two each night for a full week and have a much better time, plus my mum would never go on most of the bigger rides so paying for a wristband to go on just the monorail and the Pleasure Beach Express isn't value for money. Bring back pay per ride and ticket books and let people walk around the park for free, because most of those did go in the amusement arcades and/or purchased food & drinks which surely put money in the coffers. By all means wristbands giving unlimited rides are a good idea, but stopping people being able to just visit and have a ride or more in the evenings after a good day on the beach and after dinner in your hotel has just prevented the park being as busy as it was

As soon as they started charging entry fee just to enter the now deserted park and selling wrist bands Blackpool has gone to ruin. The Pleasure Beach used to be packed out screams from rides and fun and laughter when free to enter so many refreshments sold and tickets bought for rides people wanted to ride. The greed killed the pleasure beach. Also guest houses we would use as we ended up staying over for a few nights while visiting the pleasure beach. Now we see guest houses boarded up as well as shops boarded up in ruins. I visited 3 times a year before the entry fee. I've never been back since the deluded greed started and so many I know from many areas won't pay travel costs just to get to Blackpool then pay crazy over priced entry fee and wrist bands image with hotel or guest house costs how much people would need to visit run down Blackpool absolutely crazy. Blackpool is mainly a ghost town since the greedy owners took those deluded ideas of charging to enter before even paying for rides. Ending free entry and books of tickets for rides we wanted to ride and replacing with wrist bands was always there demise. At the end of the day they don't listed so they can go further down hill as people won't travel and pay to enter with those crazy prices.
