DCA is terrible. I used to like it more in 2012 before the terrible Marvel land, the loss of Tower and Soarin over CA, and the bad Pixar Pier. The park is now just a dumpster for whatever next IP they will stuff in it.

DCA 2001 was an epic embarrassment, even more so since in the same year Tokyo got DisneySea. Even DCA's original logo wasn't too good. Yea, money was limited over 20 years ago (Eisner had overspent on Euro Disneyland), but just the basic idea of a regional-Calif-themed park was more Six Flags than Disney. So they didn't get even that down right.

Because money and Euro Disneyland put a massive dent on Eisner’s budget to build bigger and grand scale rides and lands. That’s why Tomorrowland is in ruins from the 1998 renovation, plus canceled rides and parks and WestCot was the victim of these cancellations, and instead we got the less expensive DCA we got in 2001 but even then had budget cuts and generic rides, but at least we got Soarin.

Budget…. and EPCOT is an outdated and overrated concept. As ridiculous as it was to have a California-themed park in California, EPCOT is proof that it is better to just travel the world and see the real thing.

I went to California adventure for the first time in July this year and I’ll be honest, I was very underwhelmed. The only ride i enjoyed was grizzley run! I wish it was still the California theme when it first came out!!! It was boring honestly. I didn’t even go to the marvel area. I’d rather have tower of terror and a bug land!!!

To be honest, I’ve been to DCA when they still had that sunwheel and that was a little creepy but it was also in the timeline of tower of terror and monsters Inc. ride, which to me seems better. Anyways, isn’t the cars movie basically a trip to go to California but then something happens that the racer ends up in Arizona? So, yes it is kind of confusing but it still has some confirmation of California. Avengers Campus yeah it is a weird addition but at least some characters actually live in California. Sure, Soarin over the World is kind of cool, but what part of the park indicates that it wants to go around the world, they should probably do it kind of like Star Tours where one version is Soarin over California and the other is Soarin around the world. Pixar Pier I kind of agree with a certain KZbinr that it just off. Hearing characters say stuff but not actually moving or have an effect that looks like they are moving it’s pretty creepy. The Toy Story lands in Walt Disney World and maybe Disneyland Paris Hollywood Studios could get a pass because it could be possible at the time Andy was playing with them, which that is acceptable why they don’t move much.

@@carminecdinoproductions - Disney is not opening another park, anytime soon. They even said that they will never open a theme park in the central USA. As it would cannibalize the industry, and hurt regional parks. Also, as an American, the last thing I want is an American-themed Disney park. I would much prefer to see the real places. This is partially why I believe EPCOT’s attendance is falling off a cliff. Since international travel is skyrocketing, and people would much rather have authentic experiences, than pale imitations in a theme park. Disney is about escaping reality, and being transported to fantastical lands.

@@jaredpower1019 i used to use bugs land as a short cut to cars land and now i actually go into avengers campus I like seeing all the cool shows they have and the characters roam around and i think with the 2 new rides they announced at D23 it’ll make the land even better than it is as well take it up a notch

Definitely not bad if you compare it to your average theme park, but it is a mess compared to the standard Disney should deliver. There’s loads of amazing attractions in the park, but it’s just not cohesive enough to be ‘good’ by Disney park standards.
