Judging by how it sounds slightly muffled and how the pitch and volume changes in some parts, I'm guessing this was mostly ripped from the film (Which is fine by me, as it can't get more authentic than that)

Oh yeah, I know that track. I relocated it over to Gravemind as a buildup to Blow Me Away. It's no. 06 in the chapter selection. I'd recommend checking it out. I get that it could have been used here but the fight with Regret I feel would've needed something more atmospheric and subdued, (like the Tartarous boss battle) since it's more about getting to him and punching him in the face to death. The aftermath doesn't need it in my opinion. if Marty or Mike were to had put something. I feel it would have been more of Dust and Bone from the closing cinematic had. Just like how some tracks would start before or finish after a cutscene had begins, it could have started right after killing Regret. It's really interesting to think about what could've been.

@@Felil93 Thanks! I really appreciate your enthusiasm. I grew up listening to the OST while playing Halo on my Xbox. I never would had imagined in the 15 years since I got into the games I would ever be able to recreate this experience I dreamed of to share with other fans. Again, thank you!

my love for soundtracks in general started with halo 2. i remember very well the first time i actively listened to high charity. and i was instantly hooked after hearing this song so many times in coop halo 2 at my friends house :)

I love video game and movie soundtracks! One of my first CD soundtracks I got as a kid was Jurassic Park or Star Wars. You know before everyone had smartphones, I had my portable CD player and some cheap mp3 player too. During the Summer I would have it setup next to my pool, listening while I d be flailing and splashing in the water xD I remember playing Halo 1, 2 & 3 with my cousin a lot. Once I got my Xbox and playing Halo, I would play co-op with him a ton!. We would play split-screen together, ether at his house or mine. Eventually once he got his own Xbox, he helped me make my first Machinima uploaded on this channel. Gosh it all takes me back *o*

I had the same experience when I was a teen, I'd let the menu just loop while I was doing other things just cause how it was such chill mood vibes it gave off for me. Honestly, Halo 1 through Reach all had such amazing menu backgrounds and music!

11:14 is exactly why it is worth giving the bad guy some wins. The film is titled Empire Strikes Back, and it does. Luke destroys a walker all by himself, which is important to the plot in its own right, but it doesn’t matter. There are more, and they have trained crew shooting down speeders mid-flight. The atmosphere in the command walker is calm, calculated, with a ‘seen-it-all’ General Veers. We already know how the battle will turn out when we see scenes like that. When the rebels finally do defeat the Empire in episode VI, we feel a triumph because of scenes like this. We know the Empire is strong, we know why it is strong, and we feel all the better knowing the good guys defeated them. There are plenty of movies in which the bad guys lose every fight and are somehow still the most powerful player around, based on nothing but the fact that they are. There’s no fun in that, and Lucas must have known it. Anyway, great upload man!
