11:14 is exactly why it is worth giving the bad guy some wins. The film is titled Empire Strikes Back, and it does. Luke destroys a walker all by himself, which is important to the plot in its own right, but it doesn’t matter. There are more, and they have trained crew shooting down speeders mid-flight. The atmosphere in the command walker is calm, calculated, with a ‘seen-it-all’ General Veers. We already know how the battle will turn out when we see scenes like that. When the rebels finally do defeat the Empire in episode VI, we feel a triumph because of scenes like this. We know the Empire is strong, we know why it is strong, and we feel all the better knowing the good guys defeated them. There are plenty of movies in which the bad guys lose every fight and are somehow still the most powerful player around, based on nothing but the fact that they are. There’s no fun in that, and Lucas must have known it. Anyway, great upload man!

Love the Imperial March riff at 11:14. It’s a little more drawn out than the original soundtrack version. Whenever listening to it in my car (I had, and still have all the film scores), I would always tap it back a few seconds to make it sound more like this version.😆

Ok, does 3:57 ACTUALLY play in the film? Presumably during the part where the guy is looking at the AT-ATs through the binoculars? I'm literally listening to that scene with headphones on and I cannot for the life of me hear this part. It is completely silent.

Actually it doesn't but I took liberty to put it in so there wasn't any dead air. When the part where the music kicks off originally it's back to how it was mixed for the film. I understand why they would leave this part out because then you can really feel a sense of unease when you hear the thumping of the walkers.
