I just ordered basically the same config about 10 minutes ago, but with a charcoal color sheath - can't wait to get this.
@KnifeFanatic9 күн бұрын
Awesome!!! You will love it. I ended up sending back the original sheath and trading it for an OD green sheath with brass rivets. (Which wasn't showing when I made the order.) No hassle at all with the trade, TJ is awesome. It looks so much better imo. I have a video showing the new sheath. "Overland sport update!!!" Thanks for watching!

I’m so late to the party on this one lol I just ordered one seeing it being discontinued and got the black and white g10 as well cause that’s only 36 bucks on their website right now the xl is only 90. Both look awesome, haven’t really messed with kizers besides the Feist only recently got that because I found a 3v version on sale for 49 bucks a few mints ago as well 😂

I guess what I've just received is the second run/restock because, weirdly, it came in their non-premium box, although with a pouch, and only two stickers, damn them, lol. Also the name of the knife is under the maker's logo.
@KnifeFanatic26 күн бұрын
@humanzyx ya, I noticed some slight differences in labeling as well on my m390 80s camo Militaw. I also have an ultem Militaw in 154cm and 2 minis, one with the clear acrylic scales in nitro V and the premium mini with gold Ti and the zirc inlays in s45vn. I noticed the jimping on my two premium militaws in purple haze and 80s is so much better than any of the others. The action is also better and detent is dialed in perfectly. Glad you were able to score one of these. They rock.

lol.. if you can't afford this knife and have to make payments, you have no business spending $250+ on a knife. Please people, get your financial health in check... then have fun with prepping (which I very much enjoy myself).
@KnifeFanaticАй бұрын
@amirchar Thanks for the financial advice, but not everyone has the same approach to budgeting or feels the need to get judgemental about how others spend THEIR money. But hey, if watching other people's wallets is your hobby, enjoy! 😁 👍🏽
@amircharАй бұрын
@@KnifeFanatic wasn't intending to come across as being judgmental. I just happen to know a lot of people that are living way beyond their means, and didn't realize anything is wrong until it was too late. I get that there are times and things that justify going into debt, but there is no scenario where it makes sense to do that for a knife. I only say this as a PSA, and absolutely understand that for some they may have a reason to justify the spend, and I hope they enjoy the experience. My comment was just for the folks that get caught up in the excitement of getting a new blade, without considering the bigger picture.
@KnifeFanaticАй бұрын
@@amirchar Got it, and thanks for clarifying! It’s good to be mindful of spending, but people have different priorities and ways of enjoying their hobbies, even if it means using payment options to make it more manageable. For some, a quality knife is worth the investment, even if others might not see the value in it. At the end of the day, what works for each person’s budget and enjoyment might look different, and that’s perfectly fine!

Design credit goes for Chris Reeve, this is a CR Nala homage. But anyway nice price, great steel, fit and finish looks fine. Especially for this price. I wish Watchman would "copy" the Buck Alpha Hunter as well. Nice small fixed blade knife. And yepp, this little one should get an ulticlip. Or an aliexpress ulticlip homage... or something like that.
@KnifeFanaticАй бұрын
Thank you for your comment! I was not aware of the CR Nyala, so I looked it up and wish I had known of it before I made the video, otherwise, I would have mentioned it. The alpha hunter would be a good one too! Thanks!

Ummm how is a slightly sharpened nail helping me get splinters out unless they're the size of a small branch ?? I've got NFI what that spike is useful for...🙄
@KnifeFanaticАй бұрын
The titanium pick is pretty thin and pointy, you could use it for several different applications. Food, cleaning small areas, poking holes in something, nail cleaning, hitting reset buttons on electronics. If you don't have nails you could use it to scrape something off like a sticker/barcode... etc...

Whoa, that's crazy KF! I'd be really curious for one of those steel testing folks to run both hardness and composition tests on this to verify its properties. But, assuming it is what it says it is, it's a fantastic out-of-this-world deal. Design is great! Haven't seen you around as much - hope you've been well!
@KnifeFanaticАй бұрын
@annasoH323 Thank you for your kind comment. I agree, I'd like to see someone test the steel for its stats. I think some things need to be tuned a little bit like the detent, some fine-cut jimping on the flipper, and a better pocket clip. It has potential if the steel is what they say it is. The overall design is great indeed. I know I haven't been very active lately. I need to jump back on it. Thank you. -KF

Good knife for those of us that can't find or afford a Chris Reeves Nayala Insingo. Btw, that rainbow pattern in the grind lines is called something called Heat Tint. Which is an effect caused by the heat treatment reacting with the Chromium at the surface of the steel. So you usually only see it on stainless knives that have been ground to shape before they were heat treated. Fun right?
