Jane doe also has the most creative standing pose and walk cycle. She hooks her thumbs into loops on her jacket which gives her the most unmistakable "rodent" feel.

Stylized rendering was implemented in XSi as a shader way back in early 2000 (if not earlier) until Autodesk bought it an buried it.
Not a fan of the style. I just want to change Blender to get my pose library back, instead of stoopid pose assets.

I absolutely adore how the development of the 3d medium itself mirrors the trends in traditional art. When your space reaches a certain level of fidelity, realism becomes bland and unimpressive, so artists turn to all kind of stylized ways of expression. This is such a great development.

One of the things I love about Pipers weapon is the blade. They could have done better and added slots as well as the drill marks bit its a drilled and slotted break disk that's been cut nearly in half and sharpened and I love it.

Seriously, if you wanna see some great Guilty Gear stuff, go to the last game before Strive and check out the Instant Kill animations. That's one thing that has killed me about Strive is they don't have Instant Kill as a mechanic anymore...a mechanic that has been in every single other fighting game Guilty Gear....including the Wonder Swan games and the GBA port of one of the Guilty Gear games. I won't deny this game is gorgeous but I just don't feel like it's "Guilty Gear" without the Instant Kill mechanic. There is a very slim chance that they could add it in in future updates but they've been very cagey about that since people have been asking about it for a hot minute.

Great insights, shame you didn't watch the normal attacks. Many characters have such great creative normals, just for the sake of it like boothill, yunli and sparkle.

NPR MUST NOT BE A WHOLE DIFFERENT NODE TREE. This is a terrible idea. Keep it all in the object material shader editor.

the video you used to showcase the animtaions skipped over alot of character attacks which is a shame, some characters are missing attacks in the combo like Ellen and other have variations for their attacks like Lycaon
