This is not the greatest video as if the scale is in the tank then putting cleaning in the bowl will help in no way. My tank does not fill up property as there is limescale built up.

I have turned off the supply waterline on L bottom side of toilet. I still am using toilet 'til I get a plumber here to fix it. What I don't understand is toilet bowl water level keeps increasing. I am using an empty plastic canister to syphon out the waste twice a day but water level in toiletbowl goes up. Can someone explain as I am not flushing? Thanks

I have done all that you have recommended, including letting it sit for a couple of days, a bowl fill of water and adding hot water from the sink. None of these recommendations have worked this time and now the second toilet is clogged. There is not paper in either one. I worked very carefully to avoid that. I will have to call a plumber.

Had a clog this AM. Used a brush to clean out the main jet along with hot water and DAWN dish soap I learned on another site. Main jet is faster than its ever been since buying the house used. Thanks a million. You saved me a $300 plumbing bill. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

if you buy better quality toilet parts the insert will usually say if you use those drop in tablets it voids the warranty. those things just dissolve into grit and messes up the workings.

How about liquid dish soap to add to the tank? Not good?

What if you know its clogged and the flusher won't even flush?

Simple solution to fix pickles in the toilet that was already flushed. Just keep filling a bucket in the tub, take the water and fill the toilet, use a big plunger, push till you feel the pressure release lift the plunger to get more pressure, and plunger till the water is mostly gone. Keep repeating till the toilet flushes like normal.

This isn't anything negative towards you but I have never had it where a plunger didn't work til now. I have tried dish soap and hot water and it didn't work. My toilet is a mess if you know what I mean. I also tried vinegar and baking soda but that doesn't work. The water never goes down. On top of that the plunger I got off Amazon doesn't work. I should have gone to the store after it happened this morning and get a new plunger. Now it's the next morning and nothing has changed. I could cry but I dont want to bother my manager if I can help it so I'm trying to fix this. The stores where I live don't have those big augers so I guess I will try getting a small one. This is like the most irritating thing as a person to have to deal with.

Thank you for posting, this is very informative. What finally worked after trying multiple methods (we didn't have the auger tool) was a product we picked up at Home Depot called "Green Gobbler" for around $10. Just pour in the powder, wait an hour....and it cleared the clog! Hallelujah! I won't discount the fact that perhaps the detergent and vinegar/baking soda also helped in their way since the toilet was sitting overnight with those additives, although the toilet was still full before we tried the Green Gobbler. Anyway, I thought I'd add this comment for anyone who was at their wit's end like we were yesterday after trying so many methods.

Another trick to unblocking the poop shute ...... Metal coat hanger....bend to a metal rod....bend one end and make a hook..... Place hook end into the blocked area...... Down into the belly of Hell .... Pull out ....works every time !!!!

The first and easiest thing to do is pour a half cup or more of dishsoap in the toilet and then dump very hot water in it (not boiling to avoid cracking the toilet). Bam son. Done!
