@@stan525 I've got the shrouds back on it now. I think when I had them off was around winter time? I never took a temp gun to it, the only "check" I did was feel the top shrouds after it was driven lots. I read that they shouldn't burn to the touch (shroud above the fan with the numbers stamped in) But factory knows best so I've got them installed with the thermostat doors held open because the thermostats broke on mine.

Cool to hear from you. Ben Ben Ben. Ok, run the Napa pump also. They last a long time. You need to get the by pass block for the fuel pump. You can get it from Cal Corvairs. Then all is good. I'm concerned about the bottom. Wheel bearings suck when they go out. Make sure you know what's going on there. The knocking can't be good. I have a diff sitting that was good but I got a rebuilt one from the Corvair Ranch. I just wanted a higher ratio. the water thing sucks. Water is comming in on the drivers side floor and I can't figure it out. Hope you figure stuff out. Your plans sound awesome. Can't wait.

Try "aviation form a gasket" let it sit on gasket surfaces for a couple of hours, gently tighten down, good as done. Works great on warped/uneven surfaces, turns paper-cork gaskets into a silicone-like surface.
