After having 2nd degree burns to the face I realized that you should have the hood over your face piece. Make sure no rubber is exposed. Just a quick tip. And have that face piece super tight!! 👍

Really great information! I am a retired firefighter (captain) which just started working for our 6 station city fire department responsible for 125,000 population. I actually used minute man method years ago which we have been experiencing with it in our current depatment. We already utilize the type of hose carries and advancements. We practices those often! Great training points!!!

Please keep posting. I'm the defacto training officer for a very small department in Northern Michigan, I use your videos as training material for our firefighters. We come from a very old school way of doing things and I'm trying to help bring in new safer effective and efficient techniques. Thank you!

I am 23 yr vet and now retired. For some odd reason I wanted to get a refresher on how to draft (in atlanta we don't draft often) good refresher. The only suggestion is remind folks what water hammer is . Younger folks might not remember what that is. I have seen water hammer rip a water line apart (once). . Thanks nice job and well done. This is a great video to review my FFT2/FFT1 to be honest this is better explained then the VFD did for me in Texas. I'm now in California finishing my Wildland Fire and Fire Tec degree by 2025 . California wants me to go through one of their FFT2/FFT1 to get me back out on fires.

You should not be putting some of this information online. As an elevator mechanic you are seriously jeopardizing people’s safety by doing it. Teaching people how to unlock our doors is not ok

What’s the reasoning you connect high vol to hydrant to intake one of truck, to then connect a discharge from that truck to the other trucks intake? Why not just connect hydrant directly to the intake of truck doing fire attack instead of connecting through another truck? Thanks!
@MaxwellHouse.
@MaxwellHouse. Жыл бұрын
Or is it just a quicker option to reverse lay with 2nd on scene from the truck then to hand bomb the high vol from the first truck on scene?
@adamsoitv
@adamsoitv 8 ай бұрын
Overcoming friction loss for the long lay, also provides a backup source of water if hydrant fails the pumper can send his tank water up to the attack truck
