May God provide intellectual, physical and spiritual power and strength to the fire fighter department team-the fire fighter officers, vehicle maintenance group, call center team n overall team. May God empower and bless you all and ur family for the noble work of saving lives while risking one's life and forest fire safety through fire helicopters. Salute to every firefighter!! Amen!!

Great. In Germany we only learn to use our webbings. But i think that you sometimes hurt the Victim more than helping. In this video i lalmost learned more than in 3 Months basic training :)

tip for the white out. Don’t scan from your knees get the camera lower looking up from the floor. The temperature difference at floor level should give you contrast. Unless you’re in a fireproof hallway with the fire apartment door open. Then just use the camera as a door chock because everything is the same temperature from the cement floor to the ceiling. Believe they call it holy shit hot.

is it mandatory for senior firefighters to have that mustache?
@walterhoward6833 жыл бұрын
You're granted the privilege of a better mustache with every rank. The breadth of knowledge flows forth from your mouth and gathers on your lips. There are legends of salty smoke eaters that were so consumed by the mustache they ceased to exist as human; they roam the earth in search of fire, rescue, and rookies taking selfies. All of which they deftly handle with swift decisiveness.

silly question. do you have separate teams for fire fighting, casualty searches and ladder work? Are you all trained to work in any team or are they exclusively specialist?
@Vindog8032 жыл бұрын
Yes they have special teams

I hook up my mask when I come on shift. I have been a SCOTT air-pak tech for 20 years, this will not hurt the regulator or mask seal. I say hook it up and leave so you are ready when you come off that truck.
@aurorafirerescuetrainingbr73152 жыл бұрын
You are correct. This was a response from a dated policy regarding keeping the masks connected. Currently we leave them connected to the regulator.

After having 2nd degree burns to the face I realized that you should have the hood over your face piece. Make sure no rubber is exposed. Just a quick tip. And have that face piece super tight!! 👍
