I bought NTS, from StringJoy. A big mistake. 2 strings came off the metal bead and they were worthless just like StringJoy. FSJ!!

Thirty eight seconds in, and this guy is already talking about, "Listen. This isn't clickbait. If you only came here for a fast and loose description then let's get that out of the way." For the record, I'm watching the entire video because I came here for a detailed personal breakdown of the difference from someone with an informed opinion. I just think it's worth pointing out how great - and honest - of a job you are doing with your channel. Why are ethically-minded KZbin videomakers so rare?! If I have one "negative" comment it would be to mention for any novices getting into this sort of recording that using these tunings changes the tension on the neck and/or truss rod of the guitar. So if you are not one to do your own setups, then it is highly advisable to check with your technician/local string instrument repair person to make sure your instrument(s) are good to go before and after making the string change.

Nice demo Cody. I really need to take an acoustic and string it for Nashville tuning.

Thank you! Yeah, I keep the Eastman in this video (which is an AC222 model) strung up with one of these tunings full-time nowadays. It that model works really well for those tunings, and having a guitar ready to go in the studio means I wind up using it more, haha.

Nice guitar

Thank you! Actually, I'm glad you said something about the guitar, because I wish I included something about it in the video. The reason I chose this guitar as my go-to "Nashville/High Strung" guitar for my studio work is because it has a very balanced output. There's not too much emphasis on the low end or the high end, so it handles this type of tuning better than some other body shapes (like a dreadnaught for instance). Thanks for watching as always!

Very interesting! Does anyone you have heard ever use Nashvile or high strung with an electric guitar?
@CodyJungGuitar2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it's been done, but I cannot think of a song off the top of my head that features one of these tunings on an electric. It would be great if someone else who finds this video could chime in if they can think of one, though! Practically speaking, it would make for a really cool electric guitar layer in a track -- super jangly! Haha.
