don't iridium's last a bit longer? i heard for some peeps on fz6, they go through plugs about 8k miles.
@limitlesspowersportsservic3394Күн бұрын
Yeah they're supposed to last a little bit longer. I'm just not a huge fan of them because I had a lot of issues with them when I was running them on a Dyno with electrical interference. Also for the money you pay for iridium compared to the standard I personally don't think the performance is that big of a difference. But everybody has their own opinion so if it calls for iridium's I put iridium's in if it doesn't call for radium then I do not use iridium plugs

is the timing mark on the flywheel a straight line indent ? or a T mark? cause my honda trx400 had a T mark
@limitlesspowersportsservic339423 сағат бұрын
The T would be for timing. Just double check when you're lined up on that Mark and see if you are at top dead center by checking it by barely turning the crank to see if the Piston moves anymore or not. The letter T Mark should be your timing mark and the letter F would be your firing Mark or sometimes as a single line in front of the T which is your fire mark

Why is my oades 800 overheating when I drive at slow speeds? And what can be done to stop this? It’s brand new and the dealer told me they can’t put a oversize thermostat in it because it would void the warranty. The problem is I can’t drive 30 40 miles an hour everywhere.
@limitlesspowersportsservic33943 күн бұрын
So is your temp light turning on? Is it spitting coolant on the ground? They do sell lower temperature thermal switches for your fan. So your fan can kick on at a lower temp to hopefully keep it cool. Are they 100% sure that the system is completely bled out? I have sat there for up to 45 minutes running a unit with a coolant reservoir on the radiator and have gotten bubbles out of the system. You could also find a lower temperature thermostat and replace the one you have in there. Most mechanics and dealers don't even check for a different temperature thermostat.
@ccsurep3 күн бұрын
I have a brand new jungle cross 800! and it was showing that it was overheating and then temp would go down if I turned it off and back on again. Turned out it was all electrical caused be a loose ground wire due to the bolts on the negative battery cable being loose. May want to check there as well. Loose ground caused it to send false reading to display. I tightened all bolts on battery cables and shoes it running nice and cool in the Texas heat.

Problem is is I can’t drive it 40 miles an hour everywhere so we took it out to River run. It’s like 7 miles of trails. We was coming back only after driving it towards their trails for like 10 minutes when we had to come back into the park area where everyone’s trailers are at there’s a 5 mile an hour speed limit, the thermostat is hot as it can be and if I try to put a oversize thermostat on it, they said it would void the warranty. I have no idea what to do.

1:02:18 I have a question regarding the harmonic balancer. What would be the effect of running an engine without one? Thing is my bike has a knocking sound when running thanks to three bad teeth on the crank shaft. tried filing them down but the sounds still persists. Im sure if i ran it without the harmonic balancer i'd have a nicely quiet engine. but i don't know what consequences that would have. besides that, the bike pulls like a very angry train
@limitlesspowersportsservic33948 күн бұрын
Well to start that off if you took the flywheel off then you would throw the whole entire motor out of balance. And then also you would not have a working charging system as the rotor creates the electromagnetic field with the stator to send the voltage to your regulator rectifier to charge your battery. In filing teeth down you need to make sure they're all filed exactly the same cuz you can run into some big issues with filing teeth down. And I'm not sure exactly how the harmonic balancer would change the knocking in your motor
@limitlesspowersportsservic33947 күн бұрын
It just dawned on me you're actually talking about the balancer inside the crankcase if you get rid of that you could possibly have major vibrations you can try to run it without it. I have some people do it in the past. But you can't expect the motor to vibrate a hell of a lot more.

@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394I didn’t mean to talk about the seals having the Suzuki bond, I meant the spot between the two seals that calls for no gasket that you skip over, it’s the one that only has a spot for one bolt. Also some performance shop that deals with bikes had told me to use permeatex 90 minute gasket as they would use that when he worked at the dealer, so that’s what I had to use because I kept getting expired Suzuki bond. I have the same issue on my 16 gsxr 1k I bought the bike used, the chain snapped i thought no big deal. Put a new chain on and it was knocking, take chain off and counter shaft was bent. Took trans apart, new OEM counter shaft and I spun the gears by hand and they all seem fine, put motor back in and it still fucking knocks. It rides and shifts fine. I probably need the clutch output shaft too then huh? Maybe the teeth on the basket going to the crank bent. Any suggestions?
@limitlesspowersportsservic339413 күн бұрын
I would definitely check the output shaft bearing. They outer case on that piece is replaceable and the one I had was cracked and it was Wobble the bearing back and forth so I would double check that to make sure the bearing is secure in that case is not cracked and it's a possibility that you do have a bent clutch shaft but usually I would check all the teeth on every single gear to make sure those are okay because sometimes the gears like to break when it gets that kind of pressure put on the output shaft

I have had my 2006 zx10 for 2 months. Tonight I took it down town and everything was fine. On my way home accelerating from a stop I lost all throttle at 5k ish rpms. I’d let off the throttle then go back on and it’d jump a little like it wanted to go but wouldn’t. I managed to limp home 6 miles doing maybe 5-20 mph on average. Changing to any gear I could accelerate for a split second. Any acceleration I did find was inconsistent. It died 2 times doing this. When i’d turn it off and back on I could get up to higher speeds. One time I got back up to 80ish but the issue came back when I slowed down. Any idea what’s wrong or where I could start? I’m not mechanical inclined and feel frustrated.
@limitlesspowersportsservic339415 күн бұрын
It definitely could be a fuel pressure issue. But in order to check that you need a fuel pressure tester. And be kind of mechanically inclined a little bit. Did the bike throw any type of code? If not it is definitely not a cam sensor could be a crank sensor but I'm pointing my finger more at fuel pressure at the moment. Cuz when you cycle the key off and back on the fuel pump primes again and then it probably starts to lose pressure as you go. Also when was the last time you checked your spark plugs?

Usually when you have no spark it's usually a bad crank position sensor. Ain't on that model I believe it's part of the stator so it's not going to be cheap.

Take the IAC motor offthe throttle body & clean it & spray out the passage for the IAC motor. Check for ait leaks on the intake. Also check vavle clearances, you should do a leak down test to check the health of the motor. If it's a 500 you should check cam timing & see if the cam lobs are wore off. Also I'd the fuel pump priming? Also check to see if you have at least 38-42 psi & that it hold pressure for at least 5mins after turning the key off. Also could have an issue with the TPS sensor.
