As a mountainbiker these gaps look so insanely steep, high and even quite far if you take in mind how high you fly. I mean essentially it's like dropping down a 2 storey building and being lucky enough to find your way down at a very steep and short landing. Just a bit too short or a bit too far and you are either faced by a sharp edge of the landing or a flat surface. So yeah, mad respect to anyone that rides (and builds) these sculptures!

hey mate dont know if you havent already removed the limiter but ive got this same bike, shes a sweet ride. Easy mod ive done to mine is replaced the disc brake sensor for a spoke sensor and fitted it to the outside of the rear triangle in line with the peddle with a magnet on the back of the peddle to trick the speed sensor. Ive just unplugged the disc brake sensor and left the cable routed. Goes 40km/h on flat ground and since its a shimano speed sensor it shouldnt void your warranty if youre smart about when you take it in to get serviced but it does make the odo inaccurate. The speed sensor is a Shimano EW-SS300.

does your bike have a thumb throttle? why that grip w your right hand?
@GregBarlingАй бұрын
No it doesn’t mate. I think I do it because the leaver and shifter are a bit too far away from the grip. I don’t even notice I’m doing it and it doesn’t feel bad so I just leave it

If you trash Merida rims, Raceface AR30 or ARC30 are a straight swap, no need to get new spokes, they fit just fine. I know from experience.
@GregBarlingАй бұрын
Oh okay thanks for the comment might help people that were in the same situation as me. I laced up some DT Swiss HX 531 rims a few months ago and I didn't have to get new spokes either

Thanks for the upload! We live nearby in Lara, and watched your video before we visited the You Yangs for some insight as to where to go when there. Our 12 year old has become really into mountain biking so we thought we'd head to our local mountain bike park here on our doorstep! If i'm totally honest,. i can't believe how confusing the whole You Yangs trails are. Literally, all the app needs is start points for all of the tracks. Instead, all we have are maps with trails that you need to figure out which way they need to be ridden. An app listing the start point for all of the You Yangs trails, with CLEAR directions of which way they need to be ridden would be awesome.

Thanks for showing us the tracks mate. I'm almost 57yo and with my old Mongoose hardtail I did the beginner track a couple years ago and one other tricky one (i forget which one, but it was hard work), but I've recently bought a new dual suspension bike with dropper seat and keen to try those tracks again now that they've upgraded the park.
