My dad's best friends son died cycling this road. The dad was so depressed for the rest of his life up until the point he passed away. I felt so bad for him. Privileged spastics that have never been around any real danger putting themselves in dangerous situations in the most stupid ways imaginable. Bunch of losers

also are there challenging bits on the terrain? I see you had to go into some dips and bumps- how often and how impactful were theY? (csn't really see when it's fast forwarded on the gopro) ALSO re: gopro did it overheat at all when you're videoing for that long without being able to reach for the on off button ?

I was working in dog sled racing around that time. I drove through whitehorse with a truck full of sled dogs going to alaska. Its is animal abuse though. Like what does "responsibly" even mean? Bro. They all, live on chains. The quality of life is on the floor. I mean i don't like any of it. But its certainly on a spectrum. What we see here is LOTS of dogs. All on chains. In a kennel kennel that has a racing history. Those are all red flags lol. Racing works by breeding LOTS of dogs. finding the fastest ones. And racing those. Thats why there are so many dogs. And where do they all end up when they cant pull tourists around anymore? 6:21 Is the dog eager to run? Or is the dog eager to get the run over with? You said they get to run around and fed and pets afterwards. Are they maybe excited for that? Its called "operant conditioning." The dogs are kept on a schedule, all they know is pulling a sled. its not a choice they get to make. Some probably do actually like it, others probably dont. Some dogs run faster right at the start and give it their all the entire time. Other dogs start pulling only when they know they are headed back towards home. But man im telling you. There are better kennels out there than that one. You picked a pretty boilerplate standard racing kennel that does tours. They arent doing anything progressive or interesting at all. Compare that to someone like "eden ethical sled dogs" in Vermont. Just as an example. There are a few others that are doing some neat stuff. But mostly not. Its mostly just fields full of dogs on chains and tourists that dont really know any better. no offense.

This town has turned so many roosters into feather dusters. All the old owner wannabes have left on the verge of bankruptcy with tails plucked out. It’s a far better place than what it was 10 years ago.

*and somewhere with no light pollution I live near a nuclear power plant construction site, and despite being in the remote country, at night time the sky is unbelievably bright, it’s so eerie, there’s a massive white glow emanating from the direction of the plant lighting up the whole sky, and indeed hiding 99% of astral bodies 😢 (The reason for the light btw is because the construction site is VAST and has thousands of people working 24/7, at night they artificially light the place up so that the site is as light as during the day, which ruins the star gazing experience for everyone within a 15 mile radius..)

Wow! I never got over to the other side of Maria Island- back when I used to go there, they didn’t have the bike rental & people didn’t tend to take bikes over & yes - Maria island IS the best place in Tasmania

Currently planning a trip to the Arctic and thinking of booking with Quark expeditions. Thank you for this video it was helpful. I did have a few questions if you do not mind answering. What room did you book? Also, jackets and boots were provided but what type of pants did you have on and what did your underlayer of clothing look like to keep you warm. Thank you.

Thanks for showing us the side trips. I did this in 2017, overweight with a lot of hiking experience. I found the first day super hard. It took us 10 hours to do and it was 32 degrees!! Every other day was a piece of cake for me but no side trips except the waterfalls. All 24 of us also slept in the hut each night and we all became such good friends and told stories and got to know each other. It made it all worth while
