Fantastic! I love when projects are not only cute and pretty, but incredibly useful. I've done my Christmas shopping online and let vendors do the shipping, but these could have a jillion uses. The small ones would make great make-up bags to stuff in a suitcase, or one made in velvet would make an easy way to travel with jewelry. One of the strengths of your channel is that you have a good balance of garments and crafty projects. Update: I went to Joann yesterday to buy fleece for the poncho pattern, but the parking lot was so full that there were no spaces within reasonable walking distance. The lesson must be to not go to Joann on a Saturday afternoon! Thanks for your videos, and cheers from Norman!!!

Christmas Pickle fabric is kind of a big dill these days. I was not quite sure what this was going to be when the title said "Cotton and Bourbon ..." While I like cotton and I like bourbon, I was not quite sure how they went together 🙂

how do I know how wide/long of a dart to make?
@stacyrobbins6 күн бұрын
Great question! It depends on your shape. It is the length from your waist to your rear/hip fullness. Usually, you can tell by putting on the pants and pinching in the waist and seeing where the extra fabric disappears.

I loved this one! I've been in a lull making Christmas crafty things, and a poncho or a sweater wrap looks great! Definitely the planning may be more important than the sewing. I want to get back sewing, but with my very sick kitty, I've spent obscene money on her specialists and meds. (She's on cyclosporine for feline allergic dermatitis and alopecia. She's licked over 50% of her fur off because of severe itching.) Whatever is bugging me bugs me less when I slide into the meditation trance of sewing. Thank you for this pattern. I truly love it. Another trip to Joan's is in my future. Cheers from Norman!!

I am so sad to hear about your kitty. We are still missing our sweet Peaches. I agree there is something therapeutic about getting into the sewing zone and having a tangible product at the end. Check back when you sew up the top. I like see what fabric you choose, etc. Hello from T-Town!

I have been knitting a sweater since last winter. I go in spurts working on it so I have not made a ton of progress. But like you said, its something to do while watching tv or a movie. I made a Japanese linen apron last week and the itch to stitch Majorelle raglan button up out of a tencel denim. I think it turned out pretty good. This time of year is dangerous with all the sales! I have ordered a bunch of fabric too. 😆 Can't wait to see what you sew up in your new fabric. Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wow! I know that the digital design world is out there, but I've never even seen a tad of it. This leaves me slack-jawed. I spent my working career in writing and language, so this is stunning at its unlimited possibilities. Is there a way to make your drawing or design into a pattern? That would require big 3-D software skills and the ability to manipulate data for custom fit. Thanks so much for showing us this. I feel 5 years old and in awe of "new stuff" and its reach. Truly stunning!!! Cheers from Norman!

What a great idea for a crochet or knitting bag! I am not coordinated enough to crochet and walk at the same time -- but would definitely use one for taking projects to work on while in the carpool line at school. Using the various fabrics really gives a lot of options for use. Thanks!!!

Oh, wow! I'm always impressed with your creative skills, and so glad that you share them here. I've seen these bags online, but never gave much thought to them, let alone trying to make one. But it's great incentive for some rather quick projects. They'd be great to throw my phone, keys, and lipstick in for short errands, or to clear the bathroom countertop of various cosmetics. They'd also make a great gift bag for a stash of tea bags. Thank you so much, Stacy. You excel at these "independent" projects! Cheers from Norman!

@stacyrobbinsАй бұрын
often, I find I can go down on top even though my bust measurement falls in a larger size. I went down one size in this pattern. for the bodice but had to increase a bit in the skirt. The drawstrings make it adjustable too. I love this pattern!
