Temu sells cheap shit because they are data mining your phone. When you add temp to your app it reads all your e mails, sees all your photos and all your personal info. Same as tic tok. Do you ever read their policies before accepting? So they don’t want to sell you anything. They plan on taking your whole bank account and retirement funds.

I got a turquoise ring from Temu. I am pretty sure it is not turquoise. I have also gotten several cubic zirconium from Temu. How does cz behave under testing?

This is interesting. I usually can spot genuine sterling just by eye. Like I knew the "diamond dust" ring was fake before you tested it. The one ring that threw me off was also the ring that tested wonky. I thought it was fake, but it was whatever plating on it. Genuine Sterling usually will not have a really high polished shine unless it's plated with something, so that's usually my first clue. Your large ring also threw me off till I saw the back of it. Genuine sterling usually won't have a ring band soldered on in such a way (UNLESS it's vintage Native American turquoise jewelry). Having never shopped on Temu or Wish, did they advertise all those rings as sterling 925 stamped or just "silver ring"?

I have noticed that there are plated and non plated listings for 925 Sterling Silver on SHEIN and Temu. I have bought both. Had the best luck on SHEIN, where they seem to be legit. At least I have not had any issues. The non plated, Sterling silver rings are more expensive but better than the crappy plated ones.

Im worried about aliexpress etc low quality stuff having toxic chemicals and lead in them but im not sure how to test everything and whatvto do w items that are possibly bad

Most cheap silver that isn't from a verifiable source is usually blood silver, so even if it is real, maybe buy from places you know source their silver responsibly.

Sometimes by saying "silver" they just mean "silver color". I'm not defending them, that's just the way it is 🙂

The dragon & its tail can be saved & soldered to a different piece of jewelry or wood, etc. 😉🥰

I've bought earrings from Temu and been satisfied. It's every-now-and-then jewelry, I don't wear it in the shower or leave it out in a steamy bathroom. I have two pairs that I wear only with a certain look so they'll be around for a good time to come. One other thing, many clothes items in online stores are not wool or any fiber they claim it to be. So just remember it's your dime you're spending.

Make sure you test those rings you think are sterling with a magnet. If they are magnetic they are not sterling all the way through. I bought some with 925 on them and they were magnetic 😂. Obviously NOT 925.

I have done the same stupid things. LoL Hubby told me not to mess with the green outer shell of a walnut and I was just curious "too much so" and do so, then my hands were black and yellow for weeks. ^O^

I wish the USA banned temu they are sending in millions of pounds of garbage made with toxic substances.

Some of it that "tested" sterling, may not be 92.5% Ag....it may be like 70/30

Father fish is the worst person to be taking any fish advice from, he has been caught in lies and debunked hundreds of times, I am surprised he hasnt went into hiding yet.
