Something must have disabled it. You can re-enable it in Preferences --> Raspberry Pi Configuration. Then select the Interfaces tab and click the Raspberry Pi Connect toggle.

VNC with PINN OS directly may be tricky. But you could auto-boot into Pi OS Desktop and then use Pi Connect. I do have a video on that, this may be what you want to try: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2rGeXmhfKhpd9k

See 06:19, it's there. This is the Gold 50th edition, if you get something else it may not be on the machine.

It could be a number of things. One thing to try is a different power supply, I have a link for one in the description that I used but its no longer available.

@WagnersTechTalk ok I got a different adapter because the one I used was a 6 but I needed a 9 so hopefully that was a problem

Thank you so much Manuel! Yes Sir, you'll find PINN also available for the Pi 4 within Raspberry Pi Imager. The same thing shown here will work on the Pi 4. You can also use a USB stick, SSD over USB 3.0 or microSD the same as shown here with an SSD (operating over the PCIe port on the Pi5).

They should work fine, yes. I've used a number of control panels with Batocera and the buttons + stocks worked fine.

@@WagnersTechTalk It worked like a charm!...Once I tore apart my Pironman and reattached the tiny ribbons and connectors. Many tiny screws were dropped, never to be seen again. But once reassembled, all went well. Great directions!

If you enjoy your Pi 4, you'll likely love the Pi 5. Using with an NVMe drive is a better experience, faster read speeds and more reliable than a microSD. Thank you so much for watching, Mike!

If you're going to use the Active Cooler/heat sinks (recommended), you'll need the extra clearance provided by the GPIO header/extender.

The emulators you need are most likely already installed. You can add additional roms/games, provided you don't exceed the amount of remaining storage. There are a lot of arcade games pre-installed.

Elecrow also made two such products for the Pi 4 where the Pi was internal. Slight movements should be fine, a drop can lead to problems though as it is a mechanical drive. Another option would be to connect it to a dock, the dock to a TV and then use a wireless controller. That way, it won't sustain any drops or sudden movements.

Actually, you can copy the game files directly to the USB stick (or an external SSD) just like what was shown here. No need to have two if you want to keep it portable from computer-to-computer.

@WagnersTechTalk when loading the SD card up with the Batocera for the first time, on your computer, can you fill the card with roms before even inserting it into the Pi?

No, boot once as it will need to resize the microSD. Then, copy the files.

This is intended for a PC only (laptop, miniPC, etc.), but that PC could be connected to a TV.

It's an impressive device, many uses for it. I think you'll enjoy it but please let me know your thoughts once it arrives.
