You can re-map the buttons by pressing the START button, move to 'Controller & BT Settings' -> 'Controller Mapping' then press+hold a button. Map A/B/X/Y/START/SELECT/UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT then (L1 & L2 to the blue buttons). Press+hold a button to skip over the Analog, L2/R2/L3/R3. For the Hotkey, press SELECT, then OK. Then go into a game/emulator (i.e. Playstation for example). You can press SELECT+B to enter RetroArch. SELECT+X to load a save state. SELECT+Y to save the current game state. The back (sideways U button with an arrow), will still allow exiting a game. Hope that helps!

Do you have a microSD inserted that has an operating system installed (i.e. Pi Desktop)? If not, do that first then power on and it should boot up. If not, you might have a bad Pi.

​@@WagnersTechTalk yea, ive put everything on the SD card that you have shown in the video thru my PC and then plugged the SD card together with the power supply into the Pi and nothing else. So now the led is red lit. Pressing the power button does nothing to change that. I have to say, the board itself is a bit crooked/bent (like ever slightly V shaped from the middle) and the little box that the Pi came in looked pretty banged up tbh.

I'd get a replacement. If it's bent, it likely broke an internal trace, causing an open circuit. Just a guess.

Very welcome, thank you for watching! You can use only one PC, while it's easier (for me) to demonstrate how to set it up using TeamViewer, that is optional and not at all required. In 2024 I purchased a dedicated PC as well as asked the community what recommendations worked well for them. This is for using those PC's with the ALP 4KP, it would be a bit overkill for HD-only but more future proof. Anyways, you can find what I bought and the community responded with here: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k-pcsetup/#PC_Requirements . If the display isn't being found and you're on the ALP HD, make sure you hit the VIBS switch button and that the backglass display is visible on the backglass before launching FX.

@@WagnersTechTalk Thanks for the great suggestion about a second PC! I might go that route. I do have a old laptop that can JUST run Pinball FX and did some testing with that and can confirm the Pinball FX settings stay UNIQUE to that computer. So a second PC would allow me to play on my table while still allowing me to play on my main PC if I want to do an online game with someone, for example. It was actually the main table display -- not the backglass -- that was giving the error message. The desktop shows fine, but when I tab over the game, it loses the signal. I need to do more troubleshooting.

This is a rather old video, at the time I made this video the case worked very well during my testing. Not sure what might have changed since then.

Hard to say, did you get the LVDS cable from AtGames? Make sure any connections you make are while the machine is powered off (and unplugged). If you attempt to connect any of the cables with the power on, it could damage the display/main board. If none of this helps, please open a support ticket with AtGames customer service.

Yes, I did get the new cable from AtGames. I think anything was turned off, but I'm not sure if the machine was unplugged. Hopefully, we can figure something out. Thank you, sir. It's greatly appreciated!!

SSF support must be built-in to the pinball application/platform itself. From what I understand, SSF support is not built into Pinball FX/FX3.

The Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ is not compatible with assembly inside the Pironman5 case. This is because the AI accelerator is built into the HAT+, and assembling the entire Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ kit into the case is not feasible (see attached Image 1). The Raspberry Pi AI Kit combines the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ with the Hailo AI accelerator module. While the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ itself cannot be assembled into the case, the Hailo AI accelerator module can be connected to the Pironman5's NVMe PIP module and work seamlessly (see attached Images 2 and 3). There might be an app. you can install, but of course it would only work if the Pi is turned on. If you have a case for it, perhaps use one of those small bluetooth trackers inside the case. That way, if it is lost/stolen, it can be tracked without being powered on. Just a thought.

Yep, it went down when I added ssl to my website (i.e. http to https). Technically, it's still there, but the browser doesn't support ssl.

Which program and on what operating system?

It comes with a single board computer/SBC (rk3399 CPU). For playing FX3, FX, etc. the built-in SBC is not powerful enough to run those games and will need to use OTG (On-the-Go) to connect to a PC/Steam Deck, etc. The more recent Legends Pinball 4KP (much bigger machine) has a larger library of pinball tables and many Zen tables are now available without requiring a PC. OTG is a paid feature and available for either the Micro, HD or 4KP. More on the 4KP here: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k
