Hi mate!! I had on dashboard rear switch failure. I replaced the switch an still the same problem. You had the same problem , i don't know if a need to go to the dealer to reset the failure. Thanks in advance

Question: I did this to my 2020 1290 SAR At first cold start,fumes gasoline till gets warm . And then when it sits parked,drips a Little gas trough the hose … it’s normal? Tnx

I bought the exact insulated manifold. My local KTM mechanic told me that it won't fit on the aftermarket Akrapovic exhaust system. Could this be true? If so I just waisted £209. Apparently the insulated manifold only fits the factory fitted exhaust system.

Great video. After running the engine to warm up the oil, I put the bike on the kickstand, undo the oil filler cap and I usually remove the front magnetic strainer first, then remove the filter and lastly, the back magnetic strainer. I've found that this way, there isn't so much oil dripping out of the rear strainer onto the exhaust.

I did this but forgot to unplug the big hose from the tank. Drove 15000 km with no issues, but i will definetly unplug it when the summer comes.

Howsit bro. Is that done to address the wobble at high speeds? mine sometimes wobbles at 170kph or sometimes at 200kph, not consistent

What does this canister do? I have a 2019 KTM 1290 SAR? I just got a HEX EZCAN this could clear room to store EZCAN.

Cannister function is to filter gases coming from the tank, and rerouting them through the Pcv valve, to be burned inside the cylinders head. This way, less gases to atmosfere. Euro 4 demandings.

@@arezesonwheels4119 Is there a gasket where the pipe meets the engine. Also is there a gasket where the pipes connect? On parts diagram one is listed as "manifold gasket." The other is listed as "exhaust pipe flange gasket." On other bikes I've always gotten away with reusing the gaskets that were already there. Thank You in Advance! I'm getting ready to decat my header pipes and I will eventually switch to this insulated pipe when one comes available for the right price on my 1190. In the meantime, I'll probably heatwrap this section. Also looking into ceramic coating the pipes depending on cost.

@@justmyself1000 did this back in 2018, I've had 4 more bikes after that and can't recall for sure if there was a gasket down where the manifold meets the pipe, but I'm sure there was no gasket where the manifold meets the engine like you see on the video. Anyways I did not replace nothing more than what's on the video.

The wind visor is Touratech black (short). It worked for me at the time.

Why wouldn't you just remove the canister and conjoin the two tubes together under the rear seat so the system runs normally just not running through the carbon filter?

Hi. Your question shows me you don't understand how this works. If I'd do as you say, gas would get to pcv valve (electronic part that works in vacuum sucking the gases from cannister) and would eventually damage it.

Hello. That depends. If it is a head bearing box clunk, yes it will help removing. But if it is a suspension clunk, it is a different matter.

So you used the OEM manifold for a 1290 on a 1190 and works due is just the same exact size!!!, Good tip, heat is killing me on sunny days!
