This is probably one of the few games where the atmosphere is actually enhanced if you play in 4:3

0:26 it's NOT still in the vent. It has a distinctly more tin-like, metallic sound when it's in the vents. If it sounds clear and crisp, it's out of the vent. But depending on what mode you're playing on, your chances of survival by hiding are SO low lol Plus, you've got to remember that it learns how to find you based on how you play. If you hide often, it's more likely to check hiding places first.

Realisticlaly speaking wouldnt the flamethrower be able to kill it through the door? There are gaps. Also crouch walking doesnt make you stealthier IRL, it actually makes louder noises because you are shuffling your feet while crouched.

I play for 15 minutes get scared and play something else😭

At least it isn't the glitch where it rips the door off and doesn't play the death animation😭 had that through the entire section and the bot switched to nightmare even though it was on normal

Yeah, nightmare mode really sucks sometimes, ...this is one of those times. The vents are a worse hazard than crouch-walking the hallway, ...I know it's slower, but it's safer. At the beginning of this section, use the control panel on the wall to turn OFF the lights and "air purification" whenever possible so its all dark & foggy, then you can use objects in the hallways for temporary cover/concealment and throw distractions away from you - back towards where you came from (never throw in the direction you WANT to go, or the Alien will be waiting for you.) You WILL eventually reach your exit. Good luck, and thanks again for another upload! :)

Ahhhh-haaaa! So it IS Nightmare mode! That's how the bastard is insta-killing you! His scripted chance of finding you is higher than your scripted survival chance, it's not fair but as long as you plan for it - you can use such spots for just quick cover - like only 5 seconds tops, otherwise, ...we're just dessert! ;)

He dropped from the hole above and insta-killed you, ...I never use those things to hide in, as it starts a script running where the Alien has a definite chance to find you based on difficulty; ie: Easy=25% chance of being killed / Medium=33% / Hard=50% and Nightmare is 66% by default - and I think the 'Insane' mod makes it go up to 88% chance. Love your videos bro! Keep them coming please!

I can't believe it, and I'm 100% serious, but that motion detector beep just activated my fight or flight response. Any horror game that gives you real, tangible PTSD is certifiably the GOAT.

Running is for when there's working joes around only, and with the alien for extreme cases only, like running into a lifter in the last moment after it saw you, and things like that. You have to combine walk and crouch mostly.

Any remake that is made should take this into consideration and make special animations for the alien when its trapped.
