The Gameing itself is nice, on high player servers. The Original Bohemia stuff is a miserable coded doghair smoking morbid shadow of a zombie. The serverbrowser is CRAP the poissibility that you can connect to a server is lower than 10% with a fine stable good middle german cable internet connection 100mb, this games infrastructure for Connection to servers is complete bullshyte. I wish that the shthds of Bohemia gets some real feedback i would like to kick them in their bells for this shitty programming, i PAYD for this game and it is a complete frustrating shyteashow. On Official servers you get KICKED without any real reason and the message "replication" bla bla every 15 minutes! You only can be lucky, if the serverbrowser connects you successfully to a medium pinged, medium crowded server...what does not happen in 90 from 100 connection attempts. This is the most frustrating game i have ever installed, that i payed for. I will in the future NOT PAY for ANY GAME from Bohemia. I have learned that these people BOHEMIA that produces this game, do not deserve a single penny for serving me a kruppdish like this. Nobody should give Bohemia any money. You should send them your Gratulations from your Unus in a pakege because this is what they deserve, warm and good smelling thank you gifts

i just found arma reforger, what i very like on the game, that it automatical install all Mods, needed for Custom (modded) Multiplay Sessions, i do need to go to steam Workshop and collect required mods, especially for arma 3 or arma reforger, it would take hours. Very nice.

The Vietnam 67 mod has at least 1 full 128/128 server at all times, with low ping (~40 east coast) and lots of cool mods, updated just about every day As an Arma 2 / DayZ / Rising Storm veteran from over a decade ago, Arma Reforgers' Vietnam 67 mod is easily the most enjoyable mil-sim experience out there Its also cross platform (Xbox n PC) and even manages to run on my dell g5 15 gaming laptop w/ an i7 and 1050ti Id never usually leave a review like this, but I'd easily pay full price for the Vietnam 67 mod alone, great stuff

I’ve played arms 1,2 and 3 and each one improved massively from the other but this? It’s a massive downgrade when it comes to gameplay. Arma 3 first started the battle royal genre and many many many more fun game modes with tons and tons of mods and content to suit you as a player. I’ve spent probably 10k hours across all games from mission creation to mod creation to playing the games but arma reforger is boring beyond belief after couple of hours

Yeah, this has been my exsct experience. People themselves dont want to organize, mostly because the veterans just spawn a vehicle and bum rush an objective as if its pubg, or wastland. The rest are confused, or get discouraged at the lack of teamwork. Its honestly always boggled my mind that the Milsim genre suffers from the most problems in terms of coordination wnd teamwork. You play a Moba game, strategy game, an mmorpg ir something similar and they have established metas, and strategies. Plus the communities will rip you a new one, even on public groups if you deviate from established plans. You dont see this in Arma, squad, post scriptum, etc. One of the few exceptions i can think of is project reality. Mostly because that mod has like 200 players max, and they will just kick you out of the server if your not playing right. Point of this whole rant is..its a community problem. To many cod kiddies, and people who dont have the patience or dedicated to take the game seriously as intended.

You bring up some great points that I've also noticed when it comes to Vanilla Conflict, and even some of the modded servers as well. A LOT of games end up being dominated by the "three dudes in a jeep" rather than what should be a complex struggle between two near-peer factions. In my own play with 1300 hours and a few hundred or so in experimental, I've noticed a few other things that really drive the issue of the lack of team play: (Warning, Mucho Texto beyond this point, please acquire a warm mug of cocoa and a blankie.) - Radio communications. Many, many players tend to treat the platoon radio as a party line and disregard their own squad communications, and the game really doesn't punish them for doing this. in fact, the game ACTIVELY rewards them for this behavior, as not only can you scream whatever you feel like on the radio, you can also get instant access to information that in any other scenario would take time to propagate through a chain of command. In other milsims like Squad, the radio comms are locked to only members of the squad for all members of that squad, and the squad leader is the only one who has the ability to talk to other squads. I'm not sure how Bohemia would best rectify this issue, whether they make handheld radios one channel only and outright force the squad leader to use the man pack radios to communicate, or if they create a squad leader only 2-channel handheld, or if they lock the ability to use the platoon channel to squad leaders only or so. Their most recent blog post (as of september 20) talks a lot about radio etiquette, but they seem to basically rely on the players to follow that etiquette, which i think is a major flaw. it would be interesting if the base antennas didn't actually increase radio range and players were forced to interact with the radio static of far range communication. speaking of that... - Antennas and Mobile Command Units are also a cause for concern because of their ability to increase the capture range. Back in the days of 0.9, the antennas weren't nearly as strong as they used to be. For example, in Conflict Arland, the Signal Hill was actually required to reach out to Beauregard, and you couldn't bypass it with an antenna at a base (Arleville or Farm) like you can now. nowadays, it feels like some base locations with antennas built are SO strong that you can actually leapfrog 2 or even 3 bases ahead, which completely wrecks the idea of a front line. this problem is even worse when you consider the civilian radio towers like entre deux and regina. Why even bother trying to defend a base when you can drop an antenna down or plop in an MCU and run away to the farthest fight you can, bypassing multiple other bases along the way? there's hardly an incentive to stay still in a moving environment, which leads me to my third point: - Conflict in its entirety is a flawed game mode, in the specific method it is designed on Everon. Back when the full map was a novelty and the radios weren't as powerful, it was fun to explore and learn the routes to take to certain bases, but with each new update to how the core systems work the cracks in the armor are showing. the sheer expansiveness of the map is so great that it actually causes the issues like you've described, where bases are basically empty if players dont remember to place AI down, and there is no funnel to any specific base. what exactly causes this issue, I couldn't tell you. Maybe there's just too many bases and players get caught in the loop of fight, move, fight. Maybe the major capture objectives are so far and wide that players get lost in the movement and forget what the goal is. Maybe the design of the major capture bases are inherently flawed because players naturally converge to the center of the map, which was insanely common due to how often fights in Montignac and Entre-Deux are. maybe it's all of these at the same time. whatever the issue, it's causing this empty desert problem like you've described. What I find interesting is that Everon North and South actually don't have a lot of the issues described in the video. they are far more limited in scope and force players to interact in a limited, small sandbox. Everon North is especially interesting because it actually has this neat feature where the bases don't connect with each other at all in the middle, which forces you to deploy a mobile command truck in a useful location. This is a great idea, and is genuinely unique! But sadly for whatever reason, once Everon Full was released, these modes have gathered dust and no longer exist on the official servers, even though I believe that they would breathe some new life into the game (especially since players who came in after 0.9 have never even seen these game modes!). in my opinion, a mode like Battlefield 1's Grand Operations would be a great revamp to the full everon map. Give players a sector of play where they can operate and capture/defend bases, and when all of said bases are captured in that sector, the enemy team retreats to a new sector of the map to rebuild and reinforce, and the process repeats itself. the game could be on a timer like battlefield, or end when enough sectors have been captured, like how major objectives work now, and the final countdown timer could be a full route retreat from the island or something, where players turn tail to the nearest port city or any other cool idea. but that's just a personal workshop idea of my own. the game needs some real love by passionate people, but it seems that the current staff at Bohemia are either unsure of what to turn this game into, or are content with its current state, as this is a test bed for Arma 4 after all (Which is kind of a spit in the face for anyone who bought this game, even if it is clearly described in the game's steam description). There's a number of things to complain about when it comes to team play specifically, and just in general, but i think these 3 are the major issue it faces in the current moment. a lot of the fun is expected to be made by the players themselves, which can leave a lot of the game feeling endless. i call it "the DayZ problem". there are a number of mods that look to be trying to shake things up. WCS's New Everon swaps a few of the major capture points to be closet to the map center, MACE is looking to be essentially a Squad-Lite, and the aformentioned Everon North/South as well. Even the Tiny Wars april fools game mode was pretty fun, and goes to show that you don't need to have things like custom loadouts to have an enjoyable experience. I think the biggest thing is that we need more variety.

what a bad preview test. for entering any comunity server you dont have to dl anything by yourself, its automatic when you enter the server and take literaly 3 minutes for endless playing, dont be fake like that. Arma reforger is new, early access , and he offer one of the best warsim on the market, even in his current state. the new dayz mod for instance look super promising and already in very good state , there is so much different gamemodes like in arma 3, people can go closed eyes if they have 30 bucks to spend for the next5 years playing untill arma 4.

I think that vehicle should have realistic damage models like crew killing and easier ammo racking this would punish dumb pushes by armor and make them play smart and with infantry instead of pushing an objective and shredding it while taking 3 RPGs shots to the ammo rack and where the crew would be

Honestly I’m a huge fan of both, I used to love Squad for the teamwork but that’s been lacking in recent times. Arma offers some great teamwork ability but sometimes it’s hard to find the right players. Just keep trying both for a while and see how you feel after say a few months

Another tip place you’re radio bag out , leave you’re guns in the car , big backpack and you can carry 4 mines at time , just drop the mines and arm last , takes 2 minutes to place 20 mines

This is realistic. The PASGT vest and helmet were never intended to stop rifle bullets -- only fragmentation. If you were to shoot someone wearing a PASGT at that range with an AK, he would either be dead or in critical condition. It wasn't until the adoption of the Interceptor Body Armor in 2001 that U.S. troops carried "hard armor" rifle plates in their vests.
