I haven’t been using the inner vest but I have used the outer and I’d gotta say the army did do a better job ruin with the MSV than the older IOTVs, the gen 4 iotv was alright but this is way better imo. Nice video and setup man!

A 5.56 should not be under 18" it's why so many nations in Europe went with bulllpups and also why alot of NATO AKs have 18" barrels. If it's under 18" it's a compromise for logistical purposes, if you want a short rifle a 10-12.5 7.62 x39 or .300 makes more sense (not a fan of the .300) .277 wolverine (in between a 5.56 and .300 that uses the same bolt, mags and you can refrom spent .223/5.56 cases) is very underrated.

I dont really see how this is a lv119 rip off when the only feature it really shares in common is holding plates. doesn't have any major design features that are unique to the LV119. its just a slick plate carrier.

No, especially with the peltor mounts and BOA. You just have to take some time to tailor it to your head.

If my head size is right at the point directly between the two sizes, I should get the M/L? The M/L is up to 59cm. I’m 59.69 cm. And the L/XL starts at 60cm. I don’t want the hassle of returning.

@@TheEpicurus hey! look on the PGD website. The helmet are sized S M L XL. 59.69 is in between. PGD recommends to go down.

I never liked that POS when in the mil (83), the ones I was issued were sloppy made crap and I hate the hard stock. I now have an AR15 and really like it, and probably will replace the barrel with a 20" when it has 2K rounds threw it.

I deployed with a M203 weapon system my first go, off of an M16A2 frame... second go, I have a an M16A4 with a nice vertical grip and the ACOG.... love 'em both. Was in Afghanistan.... running and gunning in the Kush, mostly Peck River and Korengal Valley area and making mostly distance shots. Cannot complain much with either platform. Loved my American Boom Sticks

Go with a higher twist like a 1/9 for less friction for the 20"

@@terrytolentino5459 Yeah thing is im one of those ''clooners'' so everything has to be as ''acurate'' as possible. Since the real A2s called for a 1/7 twist, that's what I'm after. But the thing I'm confused about is Fulton's website lists the barrels with a ''.725 gas block''

My retired army grenadier buddy ran through Iraq clearing houses with a 20" m16 with a grenade launcher on the bottom, they fu*k hard. He said he wished he had a shorter barrel until he was actually shooting and being shot at. It didnt matter at that point, he said he was just glad to have a rifle that worked most of the time😂

We never were issued armor when I was wrenching on C-130s in the AF I have a combat shirt and PC with plates now but Im wondering in warm weather should I wear anything under my combat shirt? If so what?

"Lone Survivor" book wasn't exactly non-fiction. It had a lot of fiction in it, once we consider all the sources that conflict with it (while being mutually supporting). Ahmed Shah wasn't exactly Taliban at that moment, operation was called Red Wings (not Redwing), there were only a dozen of insurgents, etc. My favourite was piece is the video recording of that ambush made by one of the Shah's men. I highly recommend anyone interested in the topic to search for it.
