when you see a meme that makes you facepalm yourself hard enough to knock a lens out of your glasses. With the sneak attack with a trebuchet is odd, but really a one time thing aside from from how using it would likely break down by the rules IF you stick to them. Considering it is a siege weapon you wouldn't have any proficiency bonus and its neither str or dex based (this is meant for destroying structures mainly, possible disrupting large enemy formations and isn't meant for quick/small targeting changes) so just straight d20 likely (normally no big deal since typically its targeting stationary targets but not so good for single target) and obtaining advantage for the roll could prove difficult but still with magic, possible. For the fun of it and the rule of cool the DM says "heckin ya go for it bud!" and you hit, the damage could be equal to what the stronger giants do with boulders (damage type I would consider as siege, similar to I consider fall damage its own type as well) or find a spell that satisfies the carnage that would occur and add your sneak attack damage. Low to mid level rogue the extra damage is not gonna really outshine the initial damage and at late levels it probably be higher but make for an interesting scene. "FIRE THE TREBUCHET!"

Once did a mixture of serious and joke character, a gloomstalker ranger who was drunk all the time because of the horrors of his past (family killed in war, his own battlefield PTSD, etc). I played him drunk, meaning I literally drank a fifth of bourbon every time I played this guy. It wasn't as sloppy as you might think as I can hold my liquor fairly well, and he was so memorable my gaming group still talks about him years later. In the end, he settled down and became a doctor (he had been a battlefield surgeon in his background) for a village. So, serious and jokey at the same time. It worked for my group. Might not work for others.

Normally I don't put stock in my dice having any sentience or personality... But my god, last night went terrible. Nearly all of my rolls were under 12. Nat 1s on all damage rolls except one. One nat 20... On initiative, and I was still 5th in line to go, and typically like to be last. The dice were against me, and I'm convinced it was personal. I'm putting salt in the dice box before the next session.

The problem with DnD horror story is how many of them make me uncomfortable because we lack context and they are just as likely to be correct as they are to be "that guy is making his former group/DM to be the bad guys when he was actually the problem" and that makes it difficult for me to get into them because there's always that doubt in my mind.
