To support Apple is to support Musk and to support Musk is helping end democracy in the US. Which is probably fine, since it's going to happen anyway but I dont want to hear all these crying babies millennials talking about plastics when they are helping destabilize the globe.

I have T-Mobile and love it. I get nearly 2 gigabits in my backyard. Have it for home internet as well, fantastic and great deal. World travel... no roaming charges. It's great. When traveling in the states there are some deadspot but no worse than AT&T was before for us. Verizon is probably better with coverage, however with Starlink, that advantage disappears and T-Mobile becomes amazing.

I remember before Apple sent manufacturing off to China they used to talk about how they had Mac's building Mac's. They had a assembly line that Macs were monitoring and controlling basic assembly of Mac.s. They showed pictures of Macs on a lower shelf lined up and a couple Macs on a higher shelf controlling the process.
@patricksimas11932 күн бұрын
This whole idea that China will suffer because its cheap labor is being replaced by robots is only half the story. That hasn’t been the real strength of Chinese industry for a long time. And if that were the case, countries with more expensive labor would have even more to worry about. Sure, Chinese labor is cheaper than in the U.S., but look at the cost of living in both places. Now compare how many engineers each country is producing, the infrastructure they’ve built, and their manufacturing efficiency instead of acting like China is still stuck in the '80s or '90s. Think about how long they’ve been developing AI, chips, robots, space stations, rockets-and the insane pace they’re moving at. Honestly, whether you're Chinese or not, everyone should be concerned about how fast these technologies are advancing in a world that’s all about profit.

Maybe it’s like Stage Manager and how it wasn’t originally available on “lesser” M1 iPad pros. It’s possible that Apple is keeping quiet so that they can make a big splash with the new model and create buzz again at launch, and then will turn on the feature for first gen AVPs.

Can’t wait to see what you guys have to say about Deepseek. Maybe Apple Ai has real competition, and it’s cheaper and uses less energy and runs on less powerful chips. Maybe Apple being not all in on Ai looks like a good strategy.
