for most of the boss fights in mgr, the music has no lyrics when the boss is holding back. for example, the lyrics for mistral's fight only come in at the 3rd phase, and the lyrics for sams fight briefly stop when he loses his sword because he chooses to fight barehanded for a while.

Another thing I noticed after watching this for the first time again, on the part where you mention that most hunts see you chase a monster after it runs away and how Fatalis's fight is in a confined arena with pure combat, its even more than that; it's the opposite of most hunts. Against Fatalis, _you're_ the one running away. The first 2 breath attacks, the hunter is now the one who has to run away and hide. But against the 3rd phase's breath attacks there's no more hiding, you have to be strong and charge right in to avoid it. Such a cool little detail.

I like Monster Hunter world story. The people who don't are just using it as another excuse to hate on the game. Because they think a different game is better. The world is the best game. when i first played mhw i didn't know about the game series or anything really, i just played it because i loved the conscept of killing things out of our world with weapons not guns, so i automatically followed the story open minded, i loved the theme of the game it didn't have the best story but i was only 13 at that time i didn't know what true great stories were then

11:25 I'd like to point out that the Field Team Leader outright tells us that he was BORN on the New World at the beginning of the base game. So saying that "Humans have been stomping around for a week" is simply wrong. The MHwiki says that "Every ten years, a new fleet is sent to the New World to help the Research Commission." which means that by the time our character arrives to the New World, the first fleet has already been there for 40 years.
