For me, this game was part of a time period when Capcom wanted to experiment rather than relay on there older ips. Dead rising lost planet Two ips that really did something completely new.

Can we talk about how sick the explosions looked and felt when this game came out? One of the things that stuck with me, the combat felt intense and immersive.

The combat is very intense lol. I’ve been playing through the first one recently and at first I hated the lack of movement outside of mechs but I came to realize why the movement is the way it is. You feel so tiny and helpless when stood before the giant bosses and even some of the bigger regular enemies.

Literally just got done playing through lost planet 1,2,& 3 and they're still awesome to this day

This was an impressive series at the time, and still holds up really well in my opinion. It was unique, in that there were several things that set it apart from other shooters of it’s era. The massive boss battles, the grapling hook, the t-energy system to survive the cold, the seamless transition from on foot to mech gameplay. I absolutely loved the first 2 games, and had a pretty good time with the 3rd despite it’s change in direction. I sincerely hope they bring the series back with a Lost Planet 4 or even a reboot at this point. Either way, it needs to return to the roots of the first 2 games and just go big. Full size open world that takes advantage of the brand new hardware, drop in/drop out co-op, the works. I would definitely want it to have a great narrative, but dare I say that the series would also make an impressive “Division like” looter shooter given the lore and size of the bug and mech bosses. I know that may not be a popular opinion but if done right I think it would be amazing...done right is the key part of that though lol. Either way I hope to get to return to the series with a new entry this generation. Thank you for the look back my brother. Subscribed. 😎👍

I have fond memories of this game. I remember seeing the trailer for it on tv as a kid and thought it looked so badass. Then my dad randomly brought it home one day brand new as we just recently bought a 360 for the living room and popped it in and I watched him play for a little bit then I got to have a turn. I thought it was one of the coolest games I've seen since halo at the time.

I will always cherish my experience with this game. I think it should be widely considered a precursor to Horizon Zero Dawn.

I recently replayed this game and for how old it is, the graphics and details are pretty fantastic! I am particularly fond of this game as it was something I would play in my barracks after long days in the field.

The game play, plot, theme, graphics, story line. It had it all perfectly, was one of the very first games to come out for Xbox 360. I forever will love this game.

This game mustve had alot of the MH crew working on it. It's the only other game capcom makes that feels like MH and it came out 2yrs after the original MH so they were probably in creation at the same time to some extent, I really thought this was going to be a new capcom signature title but it never really truly caught on with everybody. A shame really. This is another one of those games that makes capcom not want to try new things:/ cuz u can tell they put alot into this and got very little in return. I'm sorry rant over

This game is just so good, I never get tired of playing the campaign over and over. I was really hoping the second game would be just like this but it was a let down. No Wayne? It was mostly focused on multiplayer unfortunately.

My first one was lost planet 2 and just today I finished the first one... just one thing I gotta say. Stop. Making. Me. Fight. Human. Enemies. They are the worst encounters

I just replayed this game. It's ass. On Xbox One at least, half the time it ignores your buttons from controller. Also what were you saying about dying from falling off edges? I didn't take any fall damage at all. Could be a bug. Also, staggering and getting knocked over from every projectile is the worst. Game devs, don't use this mechanic unless it's a racing game or a fighting game.

Uh. 1. It's control scheme is more like a monster hunter game. Its why alot of things knock you down. 2. The fall damage he was referring to is from falling off the map. Or into lava. LP1 and 2 both don't have fall dmg. 3. It's important to roll in the games. As they are a good lifeline. And promote a dodgeheavy playstyle like how monster hunter could.

Wow, did I freaking love this game !!! Online was BRUTAL !! If any OGs are out there, My most memorable foes were called “Outlaws” I was “Drinkinglaley”(Gamertag) best online playing before MW2 I’ve ever experienced and enjoyed!!
