Applied for a master's program with a low CGPA and a solo-publication in a peer-reviewed journal with a cite-score of 3.2. The publication is also relevant to the program. Not sure if the committee would overlook the CGPA lol

Good evening Doctor, I have a Bachelors in Mathematics with 2.0/4.0 CGPA. I am currently doing a masters degree in IT project management which I have done Research Methods as separate course. I don’t have any publications at all because I started my masters straight after a BSc. I have straight A’s in my masters and will start my dissertation by January 20. My topic for masters dissertation is related to AI in the construction sector. My questions are 1. Do I stand a chance for a funded PhD 2. Should I start applying now or wait till my masters is over. I am glad that I was able to watch this video because I have begun to find publications that are within my research interests. I have wondered if it would be ideal, or even appropriate, to mention specific publications in a statement of purpose.

Do i need to add references at the last part of the page if I cite some works in my statement of Intent?

Does the committee read our resumes or cv? I’ve been rejected numerous times. I work as a certifying scientist in toxicology which means I analyze, interpret and report data. The tox PhD program I applied to interpreted that and told me I operate lab equipment. I work remotely. I have no access to laboratory equipment or instruments. I have no undergraduate research experience because I had to work full time as a single parent. How do I make a committee understand that I’m capable based on my professional experience in this industry?
