I don’t know what the hell my DM was doing, but this is totally different from what I played. When my DM ran it, it had something to do with a moon demon named Gulthius that was trying to get to the material plane and strahd was only pretending to be a bad guy so that the party would kill him and break a curse on his daughter so that she won’t continuously be reincarnated only to die in front of him every time on some final destination shit. It also kind of upsets me that this can be done in 5 to 10 sessions, I was playing the game for two years and the DM blamed us for “wanting to role-play every little thing” despite all these extra things he added to the story. It was fucking weird.

Videos like this make it so much easier to have an idea of where to take the modules. It’s hard to get started when you have a reading disability. I struggle to read each section. But with these videos, I have a general outline, and can run it piece by piece without forgetting the themes and motivations of each character and scene.

Background music is way too loud. It's almost as loud as you are and is really distracting.

Why would anyone go to one of the three towns, when they could just go to Waterdeep, the most powerful city in the Lords' Alliance, and have armies deployed to each town? Nope! Let's send a bunch of level 1 adventurers instead. 😄

2E was challenging and interesting, to die with 5E you need to bed your dog to eat the book so you can't continue the campaign. if you are creatures of honor that come to drink to this bar so often that Uber sent me every night to bring you this letter, you will help us...don't stop drinking

The module takes you up to 10-11th level but it has a lot of holes in the action for the Gm to fill in along the way. They have some DMs Guild products to do that, It would have been nice if WotC bundled those together into a single companion volume.

Thanks for the video. This really doesn’t feel like Dragonlance.

Great read of this adventure, though I was sorely disappointed with what WOTC/Hasbro did to Dragonlance. Very little info on Kender, very little dialogue about the moons and their affect on magic, very little talk about the Gods of Krynn having seemingly disappeared from Krynn (and thus, divine magic/healing should be nonexistant in the early days of the campaign). This adventure is supposedly taking place concurrently with the events of the Chronicles teilogy, is it not?

One thing i did was make Auril a Demon It helps explain the inclusion of devils more easily And the inclusion of Levistus is more induced As they are in a tumultuous truce or have similar goals

I did a more or less homebrew ish campgain for 4 of my friends, and they reached level 5 in it. I think i will somehow weave their now rather beloved characters into this plot, and we start in less than 2 weeks. Im so damn excited to suck them into this adventure man.

I recently played CoS as a player and I am now realizing that me and the rest of the party completely sequence broke this game. Our poor DM, he had to skip around and make it all make sense as well as putting up with our parties bs!
