I wonder if the ending to this movie inspired the shining movie ending? You know, where auntie Roo is hacking her way through the cellar door almost identically to how Jack Torrence does it (with face peeking through n all). I haven’t read Stephen king’s novel so it could come straight from the source material however. Wouldn’t be surprised either way.

The rolling bleaches of Monjauro

I watched the movie yesterday after stumbling upon it since I never heard of it (and I am a huge Film Nerd who worked 15 years in a video rental store). Despite horrible reviews, that movie is actually pretty cool (pun intended). It is obviously a low-budget movie, but I liked the characters, story and setting and it even had a scene that was genuinely heartbreaking and well acted. Overall I give it 3/5 North-Stars! Will watch part 2 this evening since it stars Tobin Bell and Dina Meyer!!!!

Coucou de France.. on vient seulement d'avoir le film en France. Je lai trouvé super intéressant mais il n'existe que des reviews en anglais. Le film est lent c'est vrai mais ça rend le tout vraiment oppressant avec très très peu de musique et quasiment en seul plan séquence ( hors mis le passage en grotte) tres bel adaptation du mythe du vampire dans un contexte de dialogue réel. Super Est ce que l'acteur n'aurait pas la meme maladie que Sean Bean cest a dire mourir dans tout leurs films 😆

Simewhere around 17:00 you discuss a feeling that isn't quite nausea. I have that many days. Also feel cold and during that time if feeling cold, glucose may go low (under 70). I hope you do better at staying off the GLP1s than I did. Took Ozempic for 5.5 years and came off in July 2023 due to unavailability. I ate very low carb, and really worked hard at keeping A1c down. It gradually crept up to 6.2 from 5.1 and I gained 20#. I asked endocrinologist to start Mounjaro. Doing well on it.

I just rewatched it… I love this movie. I went in after only reading the YT blurb. And man. Was I surprised… I saw this advertised as a “black comedy” but other than a few moments this was definitely not a comedy… even a “Brit comedy”… I ADORED how they slowly rolled out the plot. An AMAZING cast too. TONS of talent in one movie. Also “Art” has a real future in the acting world… he’s very good.

After Amityville Scarecrow 2, this is my favorite in the series.

The only hardcore part is the scene with the scissors. As for the rest of it I feel it was the battle of the sexes. He is logical and she is emotional. The last scene with the women approaching the man at the end is confusing. What is there role? Was his wife a witch and she met him and lost her way? Why did he kill her? Did he finally blame her for the death of his child after she confessed?

Nah I only gave it 3 stars anyway... 3 out of 5 I mean, simplistic and charming was my way of politely saying a lot of what you said. but we watched over a 100 horror movies this month and it was better then a lot of them lol. Mostly i just liked the idea of what the stuido stood for.
