Thoughts on the Morongo Casino Resort? Would you stay here?

Stayed there a couple weeks ago and thought it was great. Rooms are amazing, food is terrific. Don't care that there's no casino. You can't swing a cat and not hit one in Vegas anyway.

We come (came) to Vegas every January for my wife's birthday, until 2020 right before the pandemic. Our go-to resort is definitely Lux. We've stayed at different places on different trips, but the January trip was always the same. We always have a great time at Lux; we like the overall vibe and location (lots of walkable stuff nearby). One thing that annoyed us on our last trip was the presence of people with their dogs. Dogs...like literally EVERYWHERE. Big ones, little ones, EVERYWHERE. Not sure if there was some kind of pet convention going on or what, but seeing people walking around with German Shepherds and Chihuahuas all over the place was a major turn-off. Since 2020, we've opted for more secluded getaways, like the cabins at Broken Bow Oklahoma where we're off to ourselves, but we're FINALLY going back to Vegas this December, and Lux will be our home away from home! Trump International is that kind of resort I'm torn on. On one hand I think it has one of the most aesthetically striking, beautiful tower facades in all of Vegas with the gold flourishes, and I also think their lobby is one of the most opulent in Vegas as well: bested only by Fontainebleau and Delano's in my opinion but, notably, better than Encore's, Wynn's, Cosmopolitan's, etc. The problem is that their rooms are DATED AF. I can't be too upset about that because their median room rates, to their credit, are noticeably cheaper than surrounding luxury resorts............but it IS quite glaring and somewhat diminishes the luxury experience. They're not in bad condition, mind you.............they are in decent shape all things considered..................but they nonetheless BADLY need a refresh. Their sole restaurant (DJT) is really interesting too. On one hand the food quality is mediocre in my opinion, but to their credit the prices are actually impressively affordable relative to the Strip overall. Same with their drinks. So as it stands right now, it's not a resort I go out of my way for................but with a thorough renovation and perhaps a slight expansion to accommodate several more restaurants and maybe another lounge, this place has plentiful potential. If you want a mini fridge book the next level room up. The Soho Premier rooms are 100 square feet larger and have one. We did stay there before the rooms were updated and it was fine for us. The rooms look really nice now and we are ready to go back in April of 2025. Always liked their food choices, especially in the Village Street Eateries. Great video. Thanks for sharing!

This hotel was so nice just wished the pool area had more shading vs burning in the water but overall really enjoyed my stay and would come back!

I think i would stay if i could get a decent room Price. If the room really is 289$ a night its not worth it . The rooms looked clean without a blacklight but they had a strange 80s feel nothing special maybe the best possible microwave made by the best people that make microwaves its very impressive few people realize that America used to make all the microwaves now we have a massive trade deficit you can't afford the microwave or the electricity to run it , what are you gonna Cook Bacon is up 70% .

While I would avoid staying anywhere that would benefit Trump financially, I must admit the hotel appears to be really nice. Also a hotel this close to the strip with no casino is super weird but hey 🤷🏼‍♂️.
