Hi all, thanks for uploading. I have an interesting question. The trial frames allow the optician to place cylindrical and spherical lenses as they wish. But, having the cylindrical and spherical lenses with some distance between them will surely have a different effect compared to having a single lens with both cylindrical and spherical power. So are the trial lenses "offset", meaning that you could not put them in the other order (i.e. spherical first, then the cylindrical)?

I am -9.00 myopic with -0.75 astigmatism in right eye, and -8.25 myopic with -1.50 astigmatism in left eye. Would there be a big difference in lens thickness between the 1.67 high index and the 1.74 high index?

Is it true that the higher the index lenses are the more distortion there is? I recently got a high index of 1.74, and I find that the peripheral view is blurrier and more distorted than my other pair of glasses with a high-index of 1.60. The prescription on all the glasses are the same.

Hi doctor, Please i need your suggestion perviously I had a cylindrical power of -0.50 in both the eyes and axis was 180 in both the eyes, and now recently I got my eyes checked and now the cylindrical power is -1.00 in left eye and -1.25 in the right eye and axis changed to 170⁰ on left eye and 10° on the right and the SPH power is -3.00 and -3.25 respectively. After wearing glasses I feel like the cylindrical power is little bit over powered and i feel eye strain some times should i continue with the glasses or i should get my eyes checked again? Its been 2 days im wearing glasses and should I wait few more days to set my eyes ??
