My plan is to have the light attached to the camera by the hot shoe and I don't know if fan-noise could be too loud and gent mixed with ambient sound? Can the plate be attached directly to the lens? I had Ulanzy Zero Y, and sold it mainly bcs the plate would loosen up over time. I use heavier lenses like 70-200 or 200-600 mm

Hi Ralph, I like your channel a lot and you seem to be the right person to answer my question... I use D850 and D5 professionaly and would like to have a Z5 as a backup. Here is my question and I couldn't find the answer anywhere, I love my Zeiss Distagon 35mm f2 ZF2 and the Voigtländer Nokton 58mm f1.4! Both of them have the CPU contacts and, when adapted via FTZ II on Z50, there is a focus confirmation square that turns green when focused. Please, is this also the case with the Z5 or do I have to acquire the Z6 ii or Zf? I wouldn't like to have only focus peaking or the zoom to focus possibility and nobody is writing about it! I am just a photographer and do not care about video and since I used to work with the D750, I know what to expect from that sensor. It's only that usability issue with some of the best lenses that I love and I can't, unfortunately test the camera prior to buying it, a bummer isn't it? I did some research and the z5 kept popping up as the best beginner friendly camera and able to produce professional quality pictures

i am using this fluid head for some time already and it is working fine with my 3.47kg wildlife camera gear.

Ulazi records with extremely low audio even with +10 Gain and max volume in settings. How were you able to fix this issue when playing back audio?

Now that the Z6iii is released and looking at the specs of it I realise that the Z5 might actually be a better choice for my (non professional) needs. It's way cheaper and still takes great images. I also prefer a tilt screen over a flippy screen and I'm in no need of the speed and all the video capabilities of the z6iii. Perphaps in a not too distant future a Z5ii could be a great photography oriented camera.

I wonder how the repairs turned out? I've had only 2 main issues which are manufacturing flaws and shouldn't happen with this camera. 1. You touched on the eye piece issue. 2. If you open the Kensington Lock rubber, you have to send it back to Nikon to place a new rubber piece/door in place as many of us found out, it will not reseal. Per Nikon reps (see posts on the internet), the camera has to be sent back in for a replacement part. Now that's insane. One way door, open it, it's open for good and the weather sealing is compromised.

The design is good, but the materials are extremely poor quality! I bought this tripod in Aliexpress and I broke it on my first shooting day, powder metal material is extremely brittle im highly disappointed and cannot recommend it If it had damaged my camera, it would have been a disaster!(

Thanks for this vid, I actually have these already and I don't love them but mainly because I've had multiple corrupt files so far! When recording directly into the mics themselves, I tried to get a refund but the customer service was atrocious 😅 I have to use them again this week so fingers crossed they work properly this time around lol

Recently went to my local camera shop and got a Z5 ( used 5k shutter count) and the nikon 70-180 for 1500 . Was hesitiant cause keep hearing lack of BSI is noticable. I h ad the choice of the Z50 or Z5 and the 70180 . Hope i choose correct. Currenlty have a D5600

I’m going to buy the lance, reason being I shoot aircraft, the monopod I have I find myself bending down when I tilt my camera skywards, the higher I can get it will be better I think.

How much comparable would the AF in z50 is to the A6400. I love the z50 for ergonomics and heard it's better in IQ, dynamic range and low light than the sony. But everyday's saying its very bad and all while in some videos I saw the z50 Af being very fast and reliable like the a6400. So according to you how much worse it is or is it on par?

Yep certainly did Will be my first mirrorless since my old analog Nikon f60 Am doing an Alaska cruise later in the year so am sussing out what lenses to potentially put on it or get away with a telephoto one to start with like the 28-200 ..undecided yet Was a great informative video … cheers BB
