As salamu aleykum ❤️ I haven’t watched the video yet but I just wanted to say that I truly enjoy your channel and your videos. I would love to wear the niqab one day but unfortunately it seems almost impossible to do so considering the fact that I live in France (niqabs are banned here) and my family is against it. 😔 (they don’t even want me to wear face masks…) Insh a Allah I’ll be able to wear it one day 🌸 May Allah reward you for encouraging so many sisters to wear it ❤️

Leave her alone. The niqab is such a beautiful piece of clothing and insh a Allah she will be rewarded for wearing it. So there’s no need to comment if it’s just to spit your venom at this noble sister.

I find myself increasingly drawn to the niqab to deal with my own vanity, and because of how liberating it seems to be, ahamdulillah. Not being recognized, gawked at or harassed is a very pleasant side-effect. Plus, it pleases Allah SWT. However, as a revert, I'm presently unmarried, struggling to find a community, as there aren't any mosques or visible Muslims in my small, Pacific Northwestern town. Wearing a niqab in public at work just wouldn't fly, either. So I'm looking for something at home. InshAllah, I find a solution sooner than later, but the struggle is real!

People also need be aware of the health implications as the Niqab is actually proven to be bad for the health! They aren't mandatory & your body is reliant on the sun exposure for health. We get 90% of our Vitamin D from the sun & it's very hard for our bodies to be able to ingest the necessary levels in supplements. Only women who are aware are now taking supplements although it is very hard for the body to ingest the 90% of Vit D that the sun exposes us to. Health condition concerns are focused on weaker bones & in countries that have less sun exposure. Wearing a Niqab constantly will cause vitamin D Deficiency and Its Impact will make those adherents susceptible to: Bone diseases Cancer Heart disease and stroke Depression Multiple sclerosis Type 2 diabetes Vitamin D deficiency in darker women is also naturally lower since their skin color is a contributing factor.

Let people wear what they like. They can go out in their gardens for sun exposure and take vit D.

Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that we show gratitude to Allah also by expressing gratitude to His servant. I just want to say thank you for making this video, from the bottom of my heart. I started wearing niqab after months of wanting it and making dua to Allah. I had a niqab that was given to me by a friend, hanging from my door for months. Every day before I left the house, I looked at this niqab hanging from my door, wondering if today is they day? No. But Alhamdulillah, I finally felt that I was ready to have an opportunity to wear it, and put it on this last Friday, Alhamdulillah. Shockingly, I ended up being cat called for the first time since I put on my hijab. I was wearing a loose-fitting abaya at a correct length for my height, non-conforming undergarments, and fully covered, of course. And then at the masjid after an event, I was approached inappropriately by a man that said he was sooooooo attracted to modesty and insisted that I share my contact information. I was so embarrassed. I got home and I cried and cried to Allah. And then I called a niqabi that I know personally from the masjid, wanting to receive support and advice. She strongly suggested that I do not start wearing the niqab, and that I educate myself more on Islam before I put it on, and suggested that Allah must have sent these misfortunes to me to tell me that I am not ready for it, because nothing like that has happened to her since she put hers on. It hurt me. I don't need to be qualified in order to improve my character. My intention is to improve my adab, and seek Allah's protection from conceitedness. Thank you for making me feel seen, and not like a failure.

Hello, thank you for your wonderful channel and everything you share. I have perhaps a weird question, and I hope it isn’t offensive. I have an autoimmune condition that makes me allergic to sun. Even wearing lots of sunscreen I burn and get rashes. But I live in Southern California, and it’s constantly sunny and hot much of the year. Right now it’s over 90F/32C. I already wear long pants, long sleeves, hats, gloves, and wore masks outside during the pandemic simply to protect more of my face. I love the look of the niqab, I like the idea of being more covered and all UPF athletic wear is so tight I feel uncomfortable, but is it disrespectful if I wear a niqab? And there are so many pieces and materials and names of things, how do I even start? And do it respectfully? And do things come with pockets? Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

When the verses of the Hijab were revealed, the women covered their faces with material. Whether they were young, old, pretty, or "ugly" - they covered their faces. I understand that feeling when I take my niqab off and I think people assume I am going to be a supermodel and they get proven wrong - and yes it does still affect me sometimes cos I can see it in their face. But that is because of people's view on the niqab - doesn't mean its correct. Many of the scholars were of the view that covering the face is obligatory, and for the scholars who said it wasnt obligatory they said if there is fitna, she is pretty etc she has to cover her face. May Allah make it easy for us Sisters to dress like the female companions and wives of the Prophet ﷺ.

I just want to say something about the niqab. I was researching if it was mandatory to wear it, so I watched a video by Dr. Zakir Naik. He gave good evidence that if you want to wear it, it is fine. But you have to take it off during salah and umrah and hajj. So that set me off, and it wasn't logical for me to wear something and take it off in front of thousands of men in umrah. Go watch the video, he's educated may Allah Bless him

Yes it is true that one should not wear niqab during hajj but there is general opinion that one would still cover/conceal the face infront of non-mahrams. This is done by wearing a loose fabric (like the end of your hijab) loosely over your face. Same with your hands: you would not wear glovea but cover them with the fabric of your sleeves. Hope this helps.

Might of been my comment 😅😅 and I have learnt a lot from this video and I appreciate it so much ❤🥹 may Allah bless you... In my opinion niqab seems to increase the beauty of a woman because you experience the inner beauty first. Behind the veil is someone connecting to Allah and maintaining their modesty and that makes them even more beautiful. I was insecure about my hooked nose in that comment I made earlier, and I have realised that it doesn't matter because we are literally created as believing women by Allah Himself. What more authority do we need to determine whether or not we are beautiful? I could have been created without a nose, or I could have broken my nose. But He chose this nose for me for now, and that is an amazing favour.

Your last points about acceptance are so on point! There is wisdom, a reason and beauty for the way we look. We can also be gentle with ourselves because our thoughts come and go and our feelings about ourselves will change, sometimes daily. Lets be merciful to ourselves when we doubt ourselves and lets talk gently with ourselves ❤️❤️

Salam sis, Eid Mubarak for you and all our brothers and sisters. Ppl say alot, like she must be opressed to wear niqab, or how is she going to marry with that, or even she must be part of Is_is. My family used to tell me, i look like a ghost. 😂 However, I always think to my self like this....Being a woman makes you beautiful, and thus you're qualified to wear niqab. And so as a muslim you should protect yourself and other ppl from Fitnah or otherwise you'll carry the sin of Fitnah you do to others. Also younger ppl might see you as a role model so your effect on society will depends on your actions. It could be difficult in the beginning, but then things get easier with time, you just have to be confident that no matter what ppl say, you're doing the right thing and following Allah's commands. Sisters trust me when you become confident you'll see many ppl following your steps. ❤ Love your videos sis ❤❤❤

I’m a revert for over 2 years now. I have studied and prayed over to wear the niqab or not since the first day of taking my shahada. When I brought up niqab to the Muslim women I know (through my husbands friends - their wives) they told me “it’s only for beautiful women to hide their beauty so you don’t have to”. Aside from it being an insult…we need to remember that hijab and modest are not ONLY to hide our “beauty”, and if Allah has willed it, then who are we to question, mock, or completely ignore what has been advised for us? InshaAllah it will be easy on any women wearing niqab and making dua to wear niqab.

SubhanAllah that comment seems to be more common than I thought! Why do people discourage others from good deeds? Nothing bad ever came out of modesty. Then again I have heard so many times that many sisters have got a comment: "Why do you wear the hijab when you have such a good and beautiful hair?" As if we wear it only to cover our "bad hair day".

@@niqabinextdoor1954from conversations I’ve had with certain sisters, there is an argument made of “in western societies wearing niqab will draw MORE attention than less”, even in certain Islamic countries it is not common for women to wear niqab so this is their argument (which I disagree with). Basically they advise to follow the dress of which country your in to avoid “more attention”. They also view more modesty as something for older women and I have even been advised by a well-meaning elder that the color black is for when I’m older and I should wear modern fashion while I’m young. Alhamdulilah Allah has given me a different opinion than these but it is difficult when the circles I’m in (family in-laws, friends’ wives, etc) all speak this way.

Niqab is for every woman who fears Allah and avoids Fitna. Wherever she is , no matter what others say if they don't like it it is their PROBLEM. Any sister who hesitates wearing it just do istikhara prayer and Allah will help you. NO ONE EVER WILL HELP YOU THE DAY OF JUDGMENT.

Assalamu alaykum sis. Eid Mubarak. Yes I agree with you SubhanAllah. Niqab and hijab is about haya and answering Allahs command. Its nothing to do with our looks, whatever we think of them. I watched a video earlier of a niqabi sister and someone said to her you dont need to wear niqab because youre black and no ones looking at black women. I habe also had similar comments made to me on Instagram. I dont know why some people go out of their way to be rude.

Wa aleykum assalaam sister! Eif mubarak 🩷 SubhanAllah I dont know what some people think when they speak to people. Like even thinking that way needs to be fixed but to have the audacity to say it out loud to someone is beyond me. The racism within the muslim community is such a big topic, especially towards black brothers and sisters (which always keeps surprising me because the most muslims I have ever known have been somali and because of what we know about racism being forbidden in islam).

I’ve also experienced this, being told it’s only mandatory for “beautiful” women to wear. Strictly from other Muslim women. Remember sister, when we seek to become closer to Allah, there will always be others who do not wish to see it. Whether it is jealously, arrogance, or shaytan and waswas, we must ignore it and continue on the path to Jannah ❤
