Hi. I bought the upgrade from your affiliate link and now my car goes half it's previous speed. Is there anything I can do to take it back to where it was?
@TimothysTractors13 күн бұрын
Try going from Neutral to reverse 5 times in a row with the switch and then wait for it to beep 4 times. That should reset it and program it for the added wire. If that doesn’t work you might just have to remove it and stay with the original speed

@@TimothysTractors Thanks for the reply! I'll try that in the morning. One of my problems is my reverse buzzer doesn't work, so I may have to fix that first.

I got it to go back to normal speed...13mph. I may try it again after I get my reverse buzzer working.

I WISH they made something like that for a 48v ezgo with the reverse swicth down under the seat by the knee. I think its a no pds cart . Do they made something for non pds carts ??
@97warlock16 күн бұрын
My cart tops out at 13mph max on smooth flat road on a nice day.
@TimothysTractors15 күн бұрын
@@97warlock As far as I know there is no easy upgrade like this for a cart with the traditional forward and reverse switch under the seat. To get more speed out of most carts you need to upgrade the controller, motor or batteries.

Hi Tim I just watched your 4100 videos. Maybe you can help me .I’m trying to help a friend with her tractor. She doesn’t know how to activate the glow plugs and it’s cold here in wny. She’s 77 years old and can’t find the manuals for her JD 4100. I have not been able to help her. Don’t want to use either. Could you help us out ? Thanks
@TimothysTractorsАй бұрын
You can pre-warm them by pulling up the PTO switch then turning the key to START-the GP's will light but the engine won't crank (as long as your safety switches are intact and working).

I forgot to mention in the video, but once you put the controller cover back on, switch your F&R switch from Neutral to Reverse 5 times in a row and wait for it to beep 4 times. This tells the controller to reprogram for the wire you installed and will get you maximum speed.

I put the same lift kit on mine when you put your front tires on did they rub against the new mounts for the tie rods?
@TimothysTractors4 ай бұрын
I think maybe they did, it's hard to remember. I might have put a washer on each stud behind the wheel to act as mini spacers. Otherwise you can get a full set of 2" spacers on amazon that would definitely prevent rubbing and look good too!

Well done! I'm new to golf carts and wanted to commend you on an excellent how-to video. As well would like to ask about the cart in the video. Is that engine/drivetrain setup factory or something you installed? I'm currently working on installation of a gas engine setup, replacing the factory electric setup on a late 90's model EZGO and if you could do a walk through of yours, that'd be great. New subscriber, keep up the good work.
@TimothysTractors6 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and subscribing! I sold the cart so I can’t take a walk around video unfortunately but I remember just about everything I did to it. It was originally electric and I converted it to gas using a Duromax engine and a torque converter kit with a much larger sprocket than what comes with the kit. I used a 40 chain with a chain tensioner made by monster craftsman. At the time those could be bought on eBay. I used the old electric motor but cut off the armature and had just the shaft with a sprocket welded to the shaft for the chain. That was probably the hardest part other than getting everything lined up perfectly. Let me know any other questions!

I work with computers and have little experience working on things like this. I was wondering if any type of grease should be going on to these bolts when reinstalling and also would it make sense to replace those small rubber bushings since you already have everything off?
@TimothysTractors8 ай бұрын
I put grease on the bolts that were used with bushings and would move, but not on anything else that was just part of assembly. The bushings can be a pain to replace, but yes, it may have been easier to just go ahead and do it while I had it somewhat taken apart. Recently, I’ve discovered it is easiest to replace all the bushings front and back when the cart is flipped on its side
