Great vid!! I've enjoyed couple your vids, recently. I just subscribed. Hope your still sharing!?? This vid came at perfect time! Lol nice stitching/ saddlery awls are very expensive!! To me, the cheaper quality ones are expensive. I'm fairly new to leathercraft..as you can probably tell.. i run across some awls, and blades, different sizes and shapes. Veregez? May have misspelled it. ? Anyway, got to work with an awl from this man a while back. Very impressive, right out of box.. I decided instead of spending , $50 to $75 for great quality awl, I'd make my own..using Veregez blades.. I have a 4ft long 2 inch thick x 12" wide piece of Purple Heart wood given to me.. this will or should make some beautiful handles.. still trying to figure out what size diameter brass ferrules to purchase?? Great vid Thanks

Nice job man, question though, I notice you cut with your blade angled in toward your work piece and not vertical to the work surface, what is that trick about?
