LOL) but I searched Sephora VIB Sale Hauls and I was shocked, it’s crazy how the market has been just saturated with people pushing to buy products…I mean idk about others but I can’t be shelling out $1K for a sale anymore 😩😩😩! @@macAh0Lick LOL I stopped watching them because it was causing FOMO and a bad influence on my finances 😅, a lot of stuff is just unnecessary purchases. I only follow you and one other lady for beauty. I can understand how it would feel like you need to break the bank to have a successful channel but I think people just want someone relatable and to help them use what they have. But yeah I can’t afford 1k on beauty no way, especially in this economy 😂😬…. I’m glad I could make you feel somewhat encouraged, looking forward to your future posts, until next time! ❤️😊

The reason why I left YT was because of the pandemic, I was a front line responder and that definitely messed with me but then I got to thinking how could I possibly make videos about makeup when people are dying left and right??? It didn’t sit well with me. Now, the economy, at least here in the US, is awful, and I can’t justify purchasing makeup with our hard earned money just for a video but I’m sure if I explain that my viewers will understand so again I appreciate your comment! The BBB cream I’ve actually been using since I filmed this video!! I’m surprised how much I ended up liking it 😬😬😬😬! The bronzer my cousin who is a lot fairer than I am took it when she came over the weekend after I filmed this, she loved it 😂! I haven’t shopped for any makeup since this haul!! 😂

Oh how I miss you! Try MAC mix medium eye base. I can't remember the name but it's a mix medium in a small clear gel squeeze tube. This gel holds anything pigments, glitters, shimmers etc. I have sensitive skin/eyes and it works on me. I really like your eyebrows, really natural. The only makeup I bought this year is the NZD $90 on Pat McGrath 2021 Holiday palette. Bronzer is OK ish on you, I think it's overhyped. Patrick Ta Eyeshadows are nice but I can't even justify buying bc I have all the same colours in my collection already so nothing wows me any more. I still enjoy watching makeup videos though!! Keep it up! 😃

@@macAh0Lick it's nice of you to give them your new makeup, it really feels so satisfying seeing other people receiving gifts. I have just decluttered 2 sephora boxes full of backups/un-used makeup to Dress For Success that helps women (who are survivors of domestic ab$*¥e and overcoming financial hardships) getting jobs. This is good that you just upload small clips of grwm, tiny reviews etc. Before you know it, you get back into your usual routine. I also suggest film quickie shop my stash (can be skincare - I know you love skincare 😁)... this could help you use some/declutter some makeup/skincare. 💞

@@chowfurnowmeow I love giving makeup away! When I don’t have a quick gift for a co worker or friend I always look at all the new products that I’ve accumulated and gift it! Saves me money, lmao, but honestly I know and hope that they will use the products! With my little cousins, ever since I moved to California they would come over and raid my collection and take whatever they wanted, they’re young, I know what it’s like to be in school and not have money to spend on anything so I don’t mind! Except when it’s something I like because then I will protest 🤪🤣🤣🤣! Like I said, I’m all about giving, I love to gift more than receiving. For me, I feel so much more content when I make someone happy by being able to gift them something than to receive something, that’s just always how I have been. I think it’s wonderful that you do that, thank you for your donations! ❤️

@@macAh0Lick I am glad to see you getting things up and running. But remember, DO WHAT YOU LOVE, videos that makes you happy to film will naturally becomes a routine. Yes definitely mix things up (food, empties etc) and tag videos are fun (and it doesn't cost you anything). Kelly Gooch (I don't think my spelling is correct) is all about appreciating what she got and does alot of makeup tag videos. My favorite ones are Eyeshadow Palette Tags, Tellying up Makeup (counting how many items you got in each makeup category and compare it to the year before). Ranking videos are gd as well, eg get your young cousins to rank the makeup they got from you...be interesting to see what they say. And they don't have to be on film: you can write/type it down, have makeup pictures instead. I always wondered what different ages like to use and why (is it social pressure, aging factor or changes in social climate I.e covid lockdowns)..

YAY! I was honestly contemplating on just deleting the footage with the planner and all the other things that weren't skincare...T__T! But I'm glad I didn't and showed you all the goods! I've been wanting to start doing plan with me videos but I feel SOOO overwhelmed--I just saw a Dollar Tree haul where they found super useful crafty/planner storage items that I think would definitely work me, I'm super excited to go check it out--I'll head over tomorrow morning and vlog. (: I kind of didn't want to post (for the time being, while I caught up to present day) anything but my vlogs, but maybe I can do random videos here and there on my second channel like plan/study with me, etc. We will see! A lot of these products were purchased years ago, I’m talking about 3+ years ago and thus it was definitely time to let them go. As much as I love makeup, I made a conscious decision that I had to be realistic and not keep items for this declutter series that 1)I wouldn’t ever use 2) have definitely been kept past their shelf life. That’s what I had in mind when making the series so when I say that there’s going to be a lot of decluttering, just keep that in mind.

If I’m being super honest with you, at this point, no. I’m actually happy that I’m being real with myself and decluttering these products that haven’t been used. Yes it hurt my wallet but instead of berating myself for my unnecessary spending years ago, I now just reinforce that I shouldn’t buy things that I won’t use or impulse buy. All in all, it’s a good lesson for me, 2020 has definitely helped me see things in a different perspective and hence why I’m no longer buying as many things as I once was. Hope that makes sense!

I contribute to the less fortunate and I quit smoking. I still love makeup & collect makeup - that will never change. Anyway, I love your channel, your content and you as a person. @@k4karina732 thank you for your comment hun! I think we can all agree that 2020 changed us in one way or another. For me, I was thankful that I was alive and my family was safe and healthy that I didn’t really care about makeup and did leave the house without any makeup. My last declutter series that I attempted to do, I stopped because I wasn’t cleaning out anything, I was just making justifications to keep makeup I wouldn’t use. Let me tell you, not the case this time around! I have a bag full of MAC products for my mom or cousins to back to Mac 🤣! I hope to continue filming the declutter series this weekend! I think tomorrows video will be a try-on but stay tuned! xx

I love makeup declutter and clean up videos! Also the Givenchy powder in my opinion is not worth it. The chanel loose powder is so much better! I have always wanted to try the la mer looser powder but shes a pretty penny 😂

I luv your hauls, it seems like you have never left! I only own the Fenty Beauty diamond bomb highlighters and the Fenty foundation powder (its my favorite). For drugstore I really like using Revlon Colorstay Skin Awaken 5 in 1 concealer (gd for oily skin ppl), Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon (lip pencil-lipstick hybrid) and Maybelline Matte Ink liquid lipsticks. We are still wearing masks in public due to over 10,000 new omnicron cases each day so I rarely leave my house unless it's absolutely necessary. I haven't been using much makeup for 9 months now...I really miss it.

Hi! To answer your Q: I still watch beauty YTbers BUT it's only down to my top favs , what draws me in to continue to watch certain people: kindness, GENUINE personality, honest thoughts and just their own unique ways of filming/talking through. My favorite ones are Tati, Mel Thompson (R.I.P), Jen Luvs, Taylor Wynn, Bailey Serein, Theresa Is Dead, (Kat and Hailey's individual channels) Beauty News, Wayne Goss and Risa Does Makeup. Each are different and unique. Most of them started out as review/tutorial channels and now they revolved in short reviews/volgs/lifestyle/story times. Each to their own. You are unique as well. I found you through MAC LE hauls/reviews back in 2015. You have a vast accurate knowledge of MAC products and articulate every product description/formulas to a tea. That requires passion, planning, money and time spent viewers take for granted. I think doing what makes you truly happy will go a long way. I hope this helps. 🤗

As a smaller creator, it’s difficult to get my audience to engage but I’m hoping that if I’m posting content regularly now *crossing my fingers* then my audience will engage. I look forward writing to you as I am mostly home bound now/can't really do anything much (for now) and hopefully this will improve your algorithm. I am not sure what's your goal for your channel but have a look at Beauty News channel. In their podcast series (on YT) they talked about in detail how to improve the channel, graining subbies, increase the chances of being featured on YT etc. And both ladies (Australian) started out as beauty bloggers then full-time beauty content creators. You might find their tips helpful. One thing they talked about is regular uploads is important especially for people who wants to build their audience, even as little as one video per week, at 13-20 mins range..etc.

One of the hardest thing for me is being very minimal with my videos, editing already takes a long time but because I want to cut them down, I feel torn on what to cut out because I feel like it loses a part of the review…but I think as I become more consistent, I should hopefully be better at it! Thank you again, I’m pushing myself to upload at least twice a week and then once I get more consistent I can then scale back to once a week but first I want to establish my audience and then move forward.
