Hi! To answer your Q: I still watch beauty YTbers BUT it's only down to my top favs , what draws me in to continue to watch certain people: kindness, GENUINE personality, honest thoughts and just their own unique ways of filming/talking through. My favorite ones are Tati, Mel Thompson (R.I.P), Jen Luvs, Taylor Wynn, Bailey Serein, Theresa Is Dead, (Kat and Hailey's individual channels) Beauty News, Wayne Goss and Risa Does Makeup. Each are different and unique. Most of them started out as review/tutorial channels and now they revolved in short reviews/volgs/lifestyle/story times. Each to their own. You are unique as well. I found you through MAC LE hauls/reviews back in 2015. You have a vast accurate knowledge of MAC products and articulate every product description/formulas to a tea. That requires passion, planning, money and time spent viewers take for granted. I think doing what makes you truly happy will go a long way. I hope this helps. 🤗

As a smaller creator, it’s difficult to get my audience to engage but I’m hoping that if I’m posting content regularly now *crossing my fingers* then my audience will engage. I love when you all leave me detailed comments such as yours so I can jot down notes and better prepare myself, again, I truly appreciate it! Like I said, I only watch one, and it’s not even the beauty content, it’s really (REALLY) difficult to find someone who takes the time to really be honest with product reviews who isn’t just making a video to get $$$$. @@macAh0Lick I know it's hard doing YT and gaining more view time. I look forward writing to you as I am mostly home bound now/can't really do anything much (for now) and hopefully this will improve your algorithm. I am not sure what's your goal for your channel but have a look at Beauty News channel. In their podcast series (on YT) they talked about in detail how to improve the channel, graining subbies, increase the chances of being featured on YT etc. And both ladies (Australian) started out as beauty bloggers then full-time beauty content creators. You might find their tips helpful. One thing they talked about is regular uploads is important especially for people who wants to build their audience, even as little as one video per week, at 13-20 mins range..etc.

@@chowfurnowmeow I look forward to your comments, as I always do! I don’t listen to podcasts, I don’t know, not really into them, but I’ll check them out-thankfully it’s on YT and it’s video 😆! One of the hardest thing for me is being very minimal with my videos, editing already takes a long time but because I want to cut them down, I feel torn on what to cut out because I feel like it loses a part of the review…but I think as I become more consistent, I should hopefully be better at it! Thank you again, I’m pushing myself to upload at least twice a week and then once I get more consistent I can then scale back to once a week but first I want to establish my audience and then move forward. Just got back from work and about to finish editing my first vlog (it’s 10 hours of footage…) 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴🤪 wish me luck! xx stay safe and yes please stay home!

I luv your hauls, it seems like you have never left! I only own the Fenty Beauty diamond bomb highlighters and the Fenty foundation powder (its my favorite). For drugstore I really like using Revlon Colorstay Skin Awaken 5 in 1 concealer (gd for oily skin ppl), Maybelline Superstay Ink Crayon (lip pencil-lipstick hybrid) and Maybelline Matte Ink liquid lipsticks. We are still wearing masks in public due to over 10,000 new omnicron cases each day so I rarely leave my house unless it's absolutely necessary. I haven't been using much makeup for 9 months now...I really miss it.

Hiie 💟 I definitely enjoy lifestyle videos more nowadays, but with some makeup in the mix. Skincare and vlogs are my new jam 😎 The rare beauty packaging is soo cute! Oh! Hi it’s me , as for me it’s just a feeling that came over me maybe before the pandemic . I just wasn’t interested in watching the beauty community on KZbin . The only makeup I use is Mac , so I stayed in tuned to your channel but yes you did take a break and that fine . I am so glad your back . The beauty channels that I used to watch, a lot of these people are so in to them selfs . Their so busy buying their mini mansion and cars they have forgot about the makeup. I think that is why I lost interest in them it wasn’t about the makeup anymore. It was about how big the kitchen was or how big the walk in closets are and look at all my clothes and shoes . And their getting a divorce and look at new boy friend. I like you channel and it’s good you have 2 channels so we can choose what we what to watch. Don’t get me wrong I believe everyone has time to shine in life but let’s not go overboard. Anyway stay as wonderful and beautiful and humble, compassionate person that you are . that’s what we want to see on a video . God bless ❤️🙋🏻‍♀️🐢

Thanks hun, I appreciate your comment greatly. I think you bring up an important point that I didn’t realize. The reason why a lot of us are no longer interested in the makeup community is because the gurus that were leading it aren’t talking about makeup anymore. They’re talking about their extravagant lives which personally speaking, I can’t relate to and because I can’t relate to someone I stop watching them. It’s not because I’m envious, I think everyone in the world tries to achieve the best for them and their loved ones which is great but at some point with these “influencers” it becomes so extraordinary that I just can no longer relate to their life. If I’m living on a fixed budget, where, honestly speaking, I’m one paycheck away from being homeless, and am attempting to watch someone who lives in a mansion and has 3 luxury vehicles I really don’t think they’ll be able to tell me whether or not to buy a product or save my money, because either way, they’re probably getting it for free. I don’t know, I hope that makes sense. But now that I really think about it, I was never interested in the “top gurus” because I couldn’t relate to them personally. Once in a blue moon I’ll find someone that I can relate to and I binge watch their videos because hey-they’re someone just like I am and I can take their words to heart. Anyways, sorry for rambling. I still watch a few makeup channels, but so much has changed. I find myself watching mostly true crime content. I also cut down on buying & wearing makeup. I only allow myself 1 new item per month - except I splurge on Black Friday. I now proudly exclusively buy from MAC. I have no interest in other brands anymore.
