Hey Lukas, great tutorial as always! 🫶🏻 I am trying to apply your setup here to an alembic file, but now matter what i do, it just keeps giving me a blob of smoke, nothing like the original mesh of the alembic :( Any ideas on how to fix that?

Please enlighten me, is there any chance that I can apply this to Octane material, I've tried and the OSL compiled successfully, but was quite confused which channel should I connect this OSL node's output to. Thousands of thanks in advance.

9:33 SOLVED PROBLEM: If you in newest version of C4D in the first glance you might not see shader graph. Just click button in upper place of box create>materials>c4d shader. EDIT it doesn't work either bc i should edit object (lighting) not color

That file cache makes the whole thing slower than it was without it, to the tune of 1 fps.

How would you go about using the same texture to drive a subtle displacement within the same material? I'm trying this in my setup, but the displacement isn't working as expected - it doesn't seem to follow the black and white values of the texture properly. Any tips on where I might be going wrong? I have applied the Redshift material to the 'Volume Mesher'.

15:38 - "it's just trial and error" not if you actually know what you are doing. No need for trial and error if you understand the angles you are working with and how to bounce light. Making a tutorial video about how to guess is weird. I was hoping to learn something cool and new, but no. Just another young designer that seems to be more interested in appearing like a designer than being one. Spent all that money on a DSLR camera, lighting and microphone just to produce content where he is just guessing at what should be done.

It's really cool how Maxon frequently updates C4D so drastically to the point where every tutorial made in the last year is totally useless for people who are using Maxon One... Really cool Maxon... ✌🤡

Hi, how to bake this animation? If I move timeline slider back and forth animation is not moving accordingly its just keep playing forward. I can't render in two passes like 1-30 frames and then 31-60 etc because animation is not synced in render. Shapes position differs on frame 31 as they are not what they should be. Any ideas what is happening?
