why is no one talking about the insane prices on the VHT SP206 Blue. WHY CANT I FIND IT IN STOCK ANYWHERE???

Doesn't last on harley tail pipes. Tried twice. And I'm sure as hell not reaching 2000°f.

I painted a guitar body with it an it came out great

This stuff is TERRIBLE. I got the blue for some valve covers. Shook the puss out of the can and it came out with only a very slight blue. More like a satin finish. It crinkled and during the 4th coat blue started spattererring out. Result, crappy looking black with blue splotches. VHT high heat went on metal beautifully. The plastic paint sucks.

TIP* I pre-heat my parts using the Sun maybe 10 min should do. Move parts to a shaded area or inside shop w no dust shake can up a minuet or two giving the part a chance to begin cooling read & FOLLOW ALL DIRCECTIONS ON THE CAN and be patient.... once the part has approached its 1st complete drying place the part in the sun for another 5 mins - I find the Sun (rather than some electric heating device" gives a much more uniform & tight wrinkle finish

I tried this paint and couldn’t get coverage it was like spraying colored water I put about 5 coats and could still see threw to the primer, I even went to a different store to buy some more paint but same problem, it’s just hard to get paint when your not a professional painter

Assuming your point is to sell this duplicolor paint shop idea to us, it would be great if you told us what gun system you are using. Looks like a gravity fed hvlp but is it turbine or compressor? If turbine, what stage is it? If compressor, what pressure ? What tip/capset is in the gun? Did you change the tip or anything else between primer. base and clear. Too many questions unanswered. We are left with a guy painting a car !

That metallic wheel paint is pure garbage.

My grandpa used ro tell me stories about using certain paints, or even certain techniques. He used to tear off vinyl landau roofs and repaint with enamel, only thing he needed to get that effect was timing between coats.. good body men are a rare breed nowadays.

This is my grandmothers old car! She matched the Vins from old documents when it went to auction. Crazy to know it’s still alive and kicking. She was a teenager when she owned this car, this exact car in the video. She’s 75 now. And she was thrilled to see it restored. Just like when she bought it.

Watched sooo many different videos. Try'd this and it clumped up horribly.

I used Flameproof primer and paint on my catalytic converters. The primer was white, paint was flat orange. My catalytic converters are striped yellow, orange, yellow, orange, yellow....... I think it REALLY looks cool and should stand out if they are ever stollen. I wanted to let others know this is a possibility on your parts, and also see if there is a reason for it happening. Manufacturer instructions were followed to the T.

Is this line of paint enamel or lacquer? Ive read the cans and it doesnt say anything regarding this. The reason i ask is because Ive used the matte black and the gloss red and the black paint lays down pretty thin even after 2-3 light dusting coats but the red paint after the same 2-3 coats looks way thicker which makes me believe it's enamel.

Normally if someone said something like "paint is paint" I would usually agree but not when it comes to VHT paint! This paint is genuinely better than all the rest when it comes to rattle can paint there is a huge difference between VHT & the rest

After fully curing, I’m wondering if a poly sealant or hybrid ceramic wax spray can be applied … ? ? 🤔

The 1st time I tried spraying my plastic engine cover with the VHT it gathered up worse than orange peel 😳. And this is after I meticulously washed the part with Dawn soap, LA’s Awesome, rinsed and dried it to perfection. I had to douse it with Lacquer thinner to remove the paint and then thoroughly rinsed it with SEM Prep Solv. This seems to have done the trick, and then the paint went on perfectly. Must use Prep Solv ! !

I have a 4000 mile motor that was in a show car, it's painted black, can i clean the motor ans paint over the black, if so should i scuff it first?

Even the first few droplets of a super light almost dust coat, immediately rejects all the parts I've tried. looks like a mix of orange peel and poor adhesion. Tried a few different prep cleaners and there's no possible car care products on them. Is there any distributors of your cleaner in Australia?
