How would I dissolve an object with multiple materials?
@michaelhuppe32932 күн бұрын
Hey, I'm not sure if you can call it a mistake but at least it wasn't the effect that I was expecting. In the coroutine since you set the currentValue and LERP with it, thus it's actually arriving at the destined target value then it's supposed to be (because the difference shrinks with each time you LERP. To combat this you can simple introduce another variable "lastValue" which stays constant during the LERP. Then at the end you set the lastValue to targetValue not current :). For me it renders a much more smoother result and the one that I expected :)

Is there a way to change a project from the Built In Render Pipeline to URP? I'm very new and started using BIRP. I now realize I should have used URP for shadows and textures. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi, can you make video specifically about importing assets, please?/ I know you have already one, but it doesn't seem to be working every time. For example, what is the difference between importing as blender file and fbx, baking textures and extracting them from folder? There doesn't seem to be a universal method, which baffles me. I feel like it should be a pretty straight forward process. Thank you.

I was having this same problem too. Being frustrated with my model when I would export a simple model from Blender into Unity. What I do is make sure my model in Blender, is damn near perfect (all the faces filled etc.) then when I export it out using Blender, In Object Mode, select your object and and click File=>Export=>FBX. A export window will come up and under Include: Check selected objects and highlight Mesh. Leave scale at 1.00. Check Apply Unit and Use space transform. Under Geometry: Select normals only and check: Export Subdivision Surface and Apply Modifier. Click Export FBX. Find your file ware you saved it. And import it in Unity. It should show up in your objects panel in Unity faces textures and all.

I've been meaning to do this, soon I promise! 🙏 You're right though, it's something that feels like it should be way easier than it is.
@seanloughran671410 күн бұрын
That was awesome and really informative. Do you then use this as a reference to go-to something like UNITY or are you able to pull assets from here and bring them into UNITY?
@RigorMortisTortoise8 күн бұрын
Thank you! It depends on the project, generally I like to use as a reference just because it's more flexible (and doesn't require Unity to load a lot of graphics) once you get it set up. For mobile game UI like this though I would probably just import, since there's so much detail that it would be really hard to replicate in Unity. Cheers!

How i can learn C++ or C# or C fast ?
@jayleo5009 күн бұрын
buy a book for the language, and go through it.
@SondaPower9 күн бұрын
To learn the language it is not a big problem. The biggest problem I encounter is when exactly use the right methods/solutions and also there is lots of more knowledge for example vectors. So you cannot learn it "fast" because of the "side" knowledge. Just start learning and keep it going.
@SondaPower9 күн бұрын
Also if you want to learn it properly, learn the syntax first. Then it will be much better when practicing.

Thank you for the video tutorial! It's really easy to follow and it's an important topic for me. But I have issues, right after I created the texture for the first part of the model. Something goes wrong on the stage where I add the second image texture node. When I repeat the steps I did to create another texture, for the second part of the model, the new texture is for some reason the same I created for the first part of the model, and so it gets glitched because it's applied to the wrong part of the model, this second part. So how do you manage to add several image texture nodes and get perfect results with it? I can add only one without glitches, sadly.

Do you have any issues with Z-fighting when you spawn the prefabs over each other, or is that something you fix later?
@ManusLlane19 күн бұрын
Excellent video! The presentation is remarkably clear, both in terms of code and video editing. I particularly appreciated the clever use of shaders, which added depth to the tutorial. Furthermore, the video is exceptionally well-crafted, with the background music serving as a perfect complement to the presentation. This is truly a top-notch resource. Please keep it up,

Intresting game, reminds me of Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack (same idea but 2D). The cardbox idea is good imo, it can helps a lot with optimalization as the cardbox will act as a ocluder. Once you reach a specific size you can load the next stage and just animate out the barrier walls.
