I have a 5 inch Jaboticaba bonsai . I want to keep it at 5 inches in height . Do you think it will ever fruit at that height? Or does it have to be taller to fruit?

I have a Burl that is now growing saplings about 4-8 inches. What would be the best corse of action next? Also what would you recommend to do with this? Could I clip at the Burl and propagate each sprout individually?

Excellent video Tom, really generous of your to share this information...Really great information for individuals wanting to start and indoor system...My system is under renovation currently and I'm going to borrow a few of your ideas to better my racks. Trees look amazing and your system seems to be perfect for your needs. Like soil/substrate, everyone tends to have their own concoction but sharing information and experience is how we move forward in the hobby...Well done and continued success...

Quick question...I believe you stated that you added the Bonide to your watering but I did not see instructions on the label for creating a watering solution...If you did create your own watering solution, what ratio to water did you use...I started seeing these gnats after bringing plants into my garage/greenhouse(of course I had not removed the BioGold). I have been using the yellow-sticky pads and caught thousands of gnats and although the numbers are decreasing I want to start treating the the soil with the Bonide...Any assistance would be greatly appreciated...Love your channel as I am working through it from oldest to newest...Wish I had stumbled onto this amazing segment last month...Thanks for sharing and keep those videos coming...

Great content...I'm building notes in support of starting my own D/R specimen trees and at least (1) forest of somewhere between (15 -19) individuals trees...I was so I inspired to see your forest setting that I'm now watch your D/R playlist to gather as much info as possible before setting our to work my projects...The frond trimming info is not quite setting in but I'll watch it several times and develop some questions prior to boring you with questions you have probably answered many times...Again, excellent content for those interested about D/R...Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time...Sequim, WA...

Candice, Where have you been for the last year?!? I have been bouncing between channels listening to mostly generalizations as to pruning, repotting, fertilization, the list goes on. The specifics that you are providing are kind of "Ah-ha" moments but really pulls the big picture together. I am trying to become a horticulturist first as my journey begins with bonsai and your information is invaluable...Looking forward watching the rest of your videos...Thanks for sharing...

I was very fortunate to have a Montessori school open up in my backyard- a church behind the house. My youngest daughter attended that before kindergarten and then after 1/2 of kindergarten. Best time in school for her. She was doing multiplication and putting together advanced Lego sets by 1st grade. Then plateaued and was bored in 1-3rd grade..and we had scissor adventures too. She decided to be like her grandpa (hair stylist) and cut her own hair. Needless to say, she looked like a boy for a while! She turned out fine and is now 20 and still loves putting things together.

Hi Candice, really useful video. May I make a suggestion; you give great direction on how and when to prune, and you show where the cuts should take place. If you could show video of you making the cuts, and the before and after, this would help solidify the learning. Thanks.

Beautiful tree, I love mine, grew it from a seedling, He's about 7 years old now. I prefer patio Bonsai so it's about 2 1/2 feet and I love its natural shape so much I've never shaped it as It's perfect to me. I'm afraid of losing it I think I would be afraid to mess with it too much lol.

Hey Candice! I've been growing my own Dawn Redwood forest. I've been so afraid to touch it this season fearing I'd ruin it. Then i thought of your video that I'd watched awhile back. I'm so glad i waited, and now feel a bit better about moving forward thanks to you! I really miss your videos, along with the knowledge i gained from watching them. I hope you, and your family are doing well. Like the last comment, if you ever decide to return, I'd immediately tune in! Peace ✌🏿☮️
