According to the deal, women and children released, then IDF withdraws from Gaza. Then Palestinians return to Northern Gaza. Then remaining (Male) hostages returned to Israel (Hamas will NOT do this. I agree. I listened to a podcast yesterday where they were calling it a hostage exchange and calling the murderous prisoners hostages, an absolutely disgusting comparison. I almost felt at that moment that Israel should only return the same proportion of living to dead prisoners as they receive with their hostages. (But that would be to stoop to their level). Through all that has been thrown at the Jewish people they have shown that they truly are God's people and I really admire them.

The second I heard of the hostage deal, I cheered - everyone in the apartment (our teachers that came for dinner and my roommates) did - and then our faces fell the second we heard more -- that for 1 civilian hostage, Israel will exchange 33 terrorists - you know, murderers, rapists, etc - and that for hostages who served in the IDF, 50 terrorists will be released... Like, what?! Are you kidding me?! I just excused myself for a second (after nearly smashing a glass of water onto the table) grabbed a pillow and screamed... It's sickening! Innocent people, children, elderly, families, have been kidnapped from their freaking beds and are being held hostage in horrific living conditions, with the threat of violence and death luming over their heads every second since Oct 7 2023!! So you're telling me that killers who will absolutely kill again get to walk free, and will make Oct 7 happen again in a decade or two, are a fair freaking exchange for the children, elderly, and sick? Israel's prosecution of total defeat for Hamas has been severely impeded by the risk to the remaining living hostages. Get as many as possible out in the coming months and then, when hostilities resume (as they inevitibly must) take the restraints off. Including blocking off all aid shipments until unconditional surrender or internal uprising/popular revolt against the Hamas regime. Right now, Israeli's armed forces are fighting with one hand tied behind their back due to the living hostages still in captivity there.
