Very nice work. I wasnt aware painting with a brush was really a thing. My cars paint is so bad and the panels are plastic. I was going to use a foam roller, but other than the hood, there isnt enough space to justify using one so I started using a brush today with matte black rustoleum 15% mineral spirits . So far, its looking ok, I figure its going to be a bit textured when done after 5-6 very very light coats(the panels flex so I think it will crack). If it seems durable, I will sand it smooth later and maybe add a satin clear coat, but honestly no matter what it will be an improvement from how it was looking lol.

They do this all the time when giving a fiberglass boat a new LP paint job. They brush it on and it comes out with a mirror finish. You just have to know how to tip the brush. I think I am going to do this on my truck’s old fiberglass shell. The clear-coat is totally gone but the gel coat color is still good. This method does not waste as much paint at spraying would and no heavy masking is involved.

@@rashb3994 I’ve haven’t seen many do it this way, that’s awesome to hear it’s working. Honestly if it’s totally free and clean of contaminants you should be able to wipe on without even scuffing or sanding. That’s what I did at least.
