Americans shouldn't be touching European electronics or cars. This video explains why. You have NO idea about how to fix this, and your comments about 'notoriously difficult' to fix reel to reel tape machines is garbage.

I just use an AA battery with leads to the terminals to center the vc while gluing the outer to the basket.

Hi, the 3 symbols on the right, bottom, you did know, how they mean, are (maybe) record input selectors, because: the left symbol is for turntable (record player), the right one is a symbol for microphone and that in the middle - I dont know it, but logical it is a radio? So I thing, it is the recording source selector.

Well, the rubber surround should alter the bass and possibly the midrange but I forgive people for replacing rotted foam surrounds because the new ones often last just a few years.

Hello good sir, A little question we are building a slapaphone for a schoolproject and we were wondering how you did the math for the lengths of the pipes because we have tried everything but our calculations dont match our frequency measurements. Could you maybe help us by going more in depht on how you got your lenghts of the pipes?

Yeah, this book has the calculation and tables: amzn.to/31hJxNp . Basically, the length needs to double every octave lower you go, and an octave is 12 notes, so that's a multiplying factor of 2^(1/12)=1.05946 longer for every note lower you go. Elbows and couplings behave a little be differently (corrections are in the book too). But you want to make it a little bit longer and then trim them to tune them in. Beware that the air temperature matters too!!

I like the size of this, but I like the larger brother's VU meter. My preference is normally for reading slower rise/fall time type VU meters. How does this compare? Does the mini-VUMP have the ability to be slow like it's bigger brother? Is it measuring rms? Or 300 ms rise/fall time like the ISO spec for VU meters? Something else? Thanks!

I have a pair of DSP 6000's. With upgraded tweeters and overhauled/upgraded amps in 2019. Got them for 1700usd. They sound amazing. The thing is, the manuals are wrong on some points after running SW updates. And the manuals are not upgraded. But you can shoot meridian a mail and get upgraded info. Once these are set up properly and adjusted to your room there is nothing that can compete with them in my ears. And you can get analog to digital converters for a good price everywhere. I use mine with a Bluesound Node 2i with upgraded power supply. The only thing bothering me is the limitation on 96/24. I can't play most of my FLAC collection through the network with Bluesound Node. But you can stream everything with it through Tidal etc since you can adjust the resolution in the app. Either way, very good set of speakers, will never sell them. Cheers

I have read that you need to "recalibrate" a new battery in Moto phones after it is installed. But, I don't know how true that actually is. Supposedly it will make it work better. 🤷♀️
@Professional_ProCraftinatorАй бұрын
The link I added just says this: "Battery calibration If you are experiencing incorrect or inconsistent battery level, quick battery discharge, slow or erratic charging speeds, or sudden power off or rebooting, a battery calibration could correct the problem. To perform a battery calibration: Force reboot the device by holding the power button until the device reboots Plug into supplied charger Charge to 100% and leave on the charger for at least an additional hour after getting to 100%"

ok so instead the oil is just in the bottom where you can't see it and not on top. That is some crazy bullshit advice
@porkrinds95722 ай бұрын
Excellent, the density of each of these various gases will provide a different efficiency of thermal conductivity to the rest of the surrounding gases in the common atmosphere of the room. Of course each of these will vary and their effect and either adding to acoustic output transfer or buffering and eliminating effective acoustic transfer to the surrounding air column. Perhaps maybe build a small laminar ring to place around your electrode or emitter at the base and allow a very slow consistent laminar flow to rise over & envelope the active corona thermal interface with the surrounding air volume. One could gain considerable advantage if he were to acquire a length of temperature stable glass tubing (much like one would find on an oil lantern's wick encasement tube). I would guess dimensions no bigger than a diameter of 3 inches with a length no greater than 10 to 12inches. If one has the daring and skill to do so, one would certainly wish to venture into cutting out a opening within this tubes length as a means of controlling acoustic transfer coupling and bandwidth tuning to the surrounding air mass. I think if you try this approach you will be quite pleased with the results, if not just outright impressed by the minimal effort in exchange of noticeable gains.

You are making this way too complicated. 4 1/2 inch angle grinder, inexpensive diamond wheel, and you can cut your stone in less than 1 minute each, and all day long without wearing out your tools. Start the cut from the front in the middle of each line, then simply finish from the back

We have a Grundig that has been sitting in our garage for nearly 20 yrs. Husband won't get rid of it (it was given to him by his parents) but it doesn't fit with our home or my aesthetic. Has the components but is not functioning. Came here searching around to see if we could upcycle it into a bar or something and sell it. Otherwise, it's still just sitting there!

seems a very involved and difficult way to centre the coil when doing it by feel is really easy on these bigger AR drivers, and cutting the dust cap off to shim it really isn't hard. Also rubber surrounds on ARs ruins the midbass response.
@Poppinwheeeeellllllieeeeez2 күн бұрын
Why shim when a battery will center the vc without the added work and destroying the dustcap.
