Amazin video like always. Regarding the random shut-off it can be the due to the way speeduinoi connects to tuner studio. If it detects a offline online cycle it will restart the arduino and you will have that random shut-off and then power on. Its almost always cause of a faulty connection on your laptop. Check if it does the same with the laptop disconnected, if it's that there is a fix soldering some resistances to a terminal in the speeduino to keep it from reseting at each new connection.
@the_mintiest_micra2 күн бұрын
Thanks man, appreciate the advice, I did hear about that, but it happens even when the laptop isn't connected. I think it has to do with VE values and timing when the fan, headlights, etc, put load on the engine and rpms drop, probably needs some adjustments to stop it from bogging down and stalling.
@jordisureda33542 күн бұрын
@the_mintiest_micra maybe the load from the lights and fan ask too much and the rpm drops below the idling and so it stalls? Mine bogs down arround 200rpm when everything turns on, a higher idle could be a temporary fix? I know there is a input for when the AC is on to turn the idle up so it corrects itself, maybe use that when the lights and fan turn on?

I'm not sure, as the software that I'm using, Tunerstudio, works with my standalone ECU, and I'm not sure if it does with stock ECUs.

I see a lot a rubbish videos by clueless people, who have not thought through the process and include way too much waffle, as below ;-) , and now I see a young guy just doing it, simply and directly, every instruction necessary and useful. I have serviced and fixed all our family cars (except the compay cars) since my first new Mini van in 1963 (big bikes before that), and this is just so useful to save time and struggle. Just what you need to know. Thanks again, young man. You are a gifted trainer. I never knew handle spring clips worked that way before, I always took the clip off, far harder. Do they all work like this? 60 years of wasted time on door handles? I am confidently off out into the freezing 2025 January to fix youngest daughters rear quarter K12 window. nb: I had to smash it because the security system locked her 3 year old into the car, already belted up, with the keys inside on the font seat, for no obvious reason , when she was loading up and closed the doors by hand to keep the kid warm. Seems this is a neat "feature" of the Micra. And then we had to get the keys off the front seat using a litter picker, luckily to hand, kid screaming, because we could not open the rear door, and daughter was somewhat upset, with number 2 on the way! The life and times of grand dad, age 82 1/4. Off to the street, with SH window replacement (£35) and tools at the ready... and a brilliant temporary window made with a thick plastic bag and sticky tape to remove! PS Before I smashed the window a I quickly taped it over with parcel tape to stop the glass going everywhere, which was mostly successful. It took a serious hammer blow to break, BTW. Messing about didn't work. PPS I fitted new disks and pads, have done many before, but these are vibrating the car when applied, so probably out of alignment. Not enough for MOT fail. Is this a Micra problem - how to be sure they are aligned? I had already changed them once on this car w/o a problem, cleaned the disk/hub mating surface , etc. Pad wear is very uneven at the front.... perhaps because there is no inner disk shield?

I'm trying to build an igniter for my bike. A 4 cylinder motor that has a pair of coils firing 2 plugs each. So each pair fires as the rotor goes around for a wasted spark system. But I don't know if I'm missing anything.
@the_mintiest_micra2 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be too familiar with how to make something like that work, but I'm sure it would be possible on an ECU like the Speeduino, surely there's some forums out there, though.

@13:32 Did you apply any thread locker on the ends of the Mounting Bolts of the Rear Axle beam, when installing the Beam back? Or just correct torquing is needed here? Thank you for the great film.
@the_mintiest_micra2 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't use any thread locker and just gave all the bolt a good tightening
@olenaerhardt77252 күн бұрын
@the_mintiest_micra Thank you for the replay. Yes, I've installed the Rear Beam already, but many people reading questions and answers, so your replay is very helpful at any time. I also didn't apply anything, bcs realized I would need to do torquing w/load (it is 97 Ft-lbs on 2009 Nissan Sentra for those Mounting Bolts, if someone needs), means when the car is on the ground. Meanwhile thank you for reminding me about it, Nissan is still in the air, since I do a lot of work on it, including door replacement and there was a wrong harness on the new door. So thank you again.

Nice video! And the bushings looks great! Was looking to do this myself! Seems like a fun project! About how much polyurethane did you use and what stiffness? Also what polyurethane kit did you buy?
@the_mintiest_micra2 ай бұрын
Bought an A70 stiffness 1kg kit from MB Fibreglass in the UK and used around 600ml, wasting a lot by not calculating the volume correctly. Still have one bushing that I think I'll do. You could get a stiffer mixture if not daily driving, maybe.
