Just coming in to say- 100% recommend the sand bag weight option! I've seen several tents go flying because people used the little disc weights. A lot of shows will actually tell you (at least in my area) that those weights will not cut it, and even give you a weight they want on each leg, which is typically 20-40 lbs of weight. I actually have two sets of the sand bags, if it's not super windy I only use one set but I always have both on hand in case the wind picks up or another vendor is in need!
@SafariStitches15 сағат бұрын

How exciting about the orders!!! And your hair is gorgeous!! I crochet every day. I am no longer able to work so I crochet and watch either a movie, a show, or KZbin (like your videos) and crochet from the minute I get up to the minute I go to bed. Well ok not every minute but at least 8 hours of my day - usually more. I feed some stray cats in my backyard, so I have a Facebook page for them and I stream on Twitch (well I used to - now that my office is put together, I need to start doing that again) and so even the streaming is crochet! LOL So there is a bit of time that is put into those other things but for the most part it's crochet all day long and markets as often as possible. So I do experience burn out a lot. I deal with it in a wierd way - I search for patterns. Shop for patterns and download and organize patterns. And if I just need a total break from the crochet world, I play video games.

Yesterday I spent ALL day making a snake in acrylic because I went to an estate sale, a lady passed away and her family was selling garbage bags full of acrylic yarn for $20. I ended up with 6 bags of yarn. The woman who passed away had saved all her scraps and small pieces, I felt kind of sad that she didn't get a chance to use them so I spent 8 hours yesterday using her scraps and made a really cool snake. She also had some granny squares made also so I will incorporate them into a project as well. I go to a lot of estate sales and there always seems to be an unfinished project waiting for me I feel compelled to finish them.

Due to being disabled I am unable to do "in person" markets and I sell a very large amount of handmade Hair bows on WhatNot (I closed my Etsy shop after being on there since 2018. They can keep their ever raising high fees) Anyhoo I have a MAJOR bow drop on Black Friday. I have watched the sun rise at LEAST 6 times over the past two weeks and I've been making bows daily for over a month now. I do as you stated I put on a good audio book or KZbin but to be honest YT is getting old quickly soooo I've recently gone on WhatNot and been watching the "build your own doorable pens" I am so lost in watching these others come in and create their own pens that before I know it time has passed and the other night I prepped 81 bows! So I paused my batch making to comment lol back to work. I literally do not cook proper meals or anything when prepping for bow drops. I'm blessed enough that the last couple drops I've had both of my adult children pulling orders as fast as they can and I've had long term customers offer to MOD our livestreams. I'm seriously praying this drop is $1K+ in a 2-3 hour stream. ($1K is a low goal lol I'm really hoping for $1,200 THAT is my goal lol) I'm older so HORRIBLE on social media posts lol

You’ve been a busy lady, that’s for sure. I have about 5 custom orders to do before Christmas and I really don’t want to do any of them 😂 I have a problem saying no. Anyways, I too am going through a bit of burnout. Just trying to make it through 2 more markets and all the customs. I try to focus on ‘starting’ anything because sometimes I spiral into thinking and scrolling and inaction. When I get like that, I go for a short walk or spend some time in nature. Clears the mind and helps me get started. Keep up the great work and hope we are both out of our burn out funk soon!😊
