I've flown from Amsterdam to Malaga and back a few times, but that was back when Malaga airport still only had one runway 🙂 Back then, I think Transavia was also the only choice you had with no real KLM flights making that route. I've lived in Malaga for about 3 years and I agree that it's definitely worth a visit, especially around holidays like Christmas and Easter 🙂

@@floridah7016 Tuurlijk, maarehhhhh volgens mij ben ik hier degene die elk hoekje van de luchthaven kent. Ik ben namelijk allround vliegtuigsleper !!! De pieren gaan vanaf Alpha platform A pier t/m de H pier . H pier bereikbaar via rijbaan Alpha 19 W/C/E. Dat zijn de pieren vanwaar de vluchten aankomen en vertrekken. Daarnaast hebben we wel buffers. OP SPL Centrum de Yankee/Juliet/Papa/Uniform-buffer en helemaal op SPL Oost de Mike-buffer. Daar parkeren wij vliegtuigen die nog de hangar in moeten voor onderhoud of al klaar zijn en daar weer neergezet worden totdat wij ze weer terug rijden naar Centrum op de pier of buffers.

@@floridah7016 Volgens mij ben ik hier degene die alle hoeken en gaten van SPL kent als allround vliegtuigsleper. Pieren (dus met passagiersbrug) zijn er vanaf de Bravo t/m Hotelpier. Easyjet en consorte vertrekken in dit geval van de H pier, niet van de M pier die er als zodanig niet is. Daarnaast kennen we buffers waar vliegtuigen geparkeerd worden. De Yankee/Papa/Juliet/Uniform en helemaal op SPL Oost de Mikebuffer.

The 2-2-2 configuration is awful. It was too narrow. We just went on the 787 and it was 1-2-1 and great.

Service is not bad I think. The seat configuration with the A330 is very bad and no privacy. Unfortunately they will not convert this anymore because in a few years the A350 will come into service.

Thank you for sharing the menu. I fully agree it is a pity the hamburger (in "newspaper") is gone. Loved it! I do understand your thoughts about the high price for WBC on the A330's compared to the (brand) new 1-2-1 configuration in the B777 and B787.

There is no good alternative yet, yes there is a train but it is expensive and often does not connect with other flights. In addition, there are many other countries that also operate many domestic flights of less than 100 miles. In addition, I have a next flight from Schiphol, my flight is BRU - AMS - AUA

@@NLAviation Wrong. The train trip is inexpensive if you take the IC Benelux service rather than the Eurostar. The IC Benelux is based on a flat rate (unlike the Eurostar, based on a yield management fare system), you can jump on any departing train without a need for a seat reservation, it’s 100% flexible - and for just a fraction of the price of the Eurostar. Moreover, the IC Benelux connects perfectly with the flights, as it runs every hour. In short, there is no excuse to keep this irresponsible flight.

@@yagi3925 That only works if I had booked a separate ticket. However, my flight includes a stopover in Amsterdam. My flight is BRU - AMS - AUA in one ticket. So a flight from Brussels to Amsterdam is also included. You can also book (partial) train trips via KLM, but in this case that was not a cheaper option. In addition, respect how everyone wants to travel.

Aviation is also busy becoming more sustainable. You are free to make your own choice as to which means of transport you choose, and respect others in their choice.

It shouldn’t exist but the reason it does is pricing. The ticket is cheaper when connecting through Amsterdam because it’s a less desirable connecting flight and competing with the Zaventem prices (a 1 stop flight through Amsterdam needs to be cheaper than a direct flight). When you transfer in Amsterdam the travel/securtity/check-in time etc is less relevant since you would need to go through it anyway in Schiphol.

@random8539 if the same route exists at all from Brussels. Schiphol offers many more destinations. Chances are that if you need to travel from Brussels to Cape Town, South Africa, Stavanger, Norway or Cartagena, Colombia for example, KLM connecting in Schiphol is the best option for you. I bet the Cityhopper is full of people with connecting flights, either because it is cheap or because it is the only feasible option. Traveling from Brussels to Amsterdam is only faster or cheaper at those specific flight times, and if your origin and destination are close to Zaventem and Schiphol. If you need to go from city centre to city centre, this flight doesn't make much sense.
